Alex and Megan both went to Augsburg University where they had a 7am psychology class together. Megan didn’t notice Alex because she was sitting in the front of the class taking notes and raising her hand too many times while Alex was sneaking into class late. Alex noticed Megan, but couldn’t get her attention. They finally interacted when their studies brought them to Chicago, IL for a psychology conference that Megan was presenting research at and Alex was invited with a club he was in. After a night out on the town Megan came back to the hotel to meet up with her friends, which happened to be with Alex and his friends. Once they left Chicago they didn’t know if their paths would ever cross again, so Megan took it upon herself to ask a mutual friend for Alex’s contact info. He was at a concert and she home alone was watching TV, which says a lot about who they are as people. They messaged for a few days while they finished up the school year, Megan was graduating and Alex was moving off campus for the summer. Megan had one more final to take and Alex offered to bring her pizza to help her study, she suggested that they go out for pizza because she “needed a break”. They didn’t stop talking, smiling, or laughing the entire time. Alex then helped her take the online final and walked her to her car. It was the best first date either of them had been on and Megan’s cheeks hurt from smiling. That was April 2018. Through chaotic schedules and living an hour from each other, Megan and Alex spent one day a week together for about the first year of their relationship. Since then they have officially moved in together, bought a house, and adopted a very cute kitten. There are so many things that they could tell you about their lives, but they are usually found hiking, traveling, spending time with friends and family, training their cat to sit, stay, and dance, singing Kelly Clarkson together, working on their home, and enjoying a good beer, or wine, or whiskey…
