Our "Love Story" (Ross' version)

This story begins where all great love stories do, on the sales floor of a financial services company in Oaks, Pennsylvania. Our heroes worked for a company called SEI where Ross worked in sales and Megan worked in marketing, a tale as old as time. Several stolen glances, one painfully horrible, failed attempt at flirting in the gym (Ross would go just to bump into Megan), and a short four years later, Ross finally worked up the courage to ask Megan out on a date. Patience is a virtue after all. Their first date was set for a Wednesday night at Coyote Crossing in Conshohocken, September 1st, 2021. As fate would have it, a hurricane rolled through town the very same night. Ross repeatedly called the restaurant several times throughout the day to make sure they were staying open, only to find out later that Megan was doing the exact same thing. The restaurant must have thought that demand was high after all these phone calls, which is the only possible reason they stayed open during the hurricane. When they arrived for their reservation, they were the only ones there; the waitstaff was thrilled with their business that night. As carnage rained down outside, the couple joked about how they would have a great first date story if everything worked out… and wouldn’t ya know it, here we are. After correctly reading nature’s omens and surviving the storm together, our couple quickly began seeing each other regularly. Ross commuted regularly from Philadelphia to Conshohocken to see Megan, and Megan gracefully conquered her fears of city traffic, parking, dirt, smells (insert additional Philadelphia complaints here) to go on dates with Ross. Things were getting more real though and ultimately Ross decided to move back to Conshy to be closer to his future bride-to-be. With absolutely no consideration for a normal timeline of events, the two adopted a handsome golden doodle puppy named Noah in December 2023. Noah made an immediate impact in the lives of our couple, the three bonding over their mutual admiration of dog toys and the love for their own hair. Our couple was finally engaged on January 13th, 2024, on the beaches of Avalon, just a few blocks away from the church where they will be wed. They were actually there to tour their wedding venue (see above: no regard for normal timelines). Agreeing that two major life changes in two months were not enough for them, the pair agreed to purchase their first home together in February 2024, after a grueling three-day searching process. Megan and Ross now live together in West Conshohocken, roughly five minutes from their first date spot…. with no hurricanes in sight 😉
