Bride
This is Megan. Megan is awesome. She makes me be a better me everyday, not only physically, but also emotionally and spiritually. I am so thankful that I have been able to get to know Megan. From the first day we met my life has only gotten better. I am so thankful that she can put up with all of me, because I am not always fun to deal with. I love Megan with all that I am and CAN'T wait to seal the deal! <3
Groom
This is Johnathan. He's a pretty cool guy - otherwise, I wouldn't be marrying him. I love him for his kindness, humor, generosity, creativity, and so much more. He's even better than he knows, and I'm so grateful to have found a best friend and someone I can trust to get through any challenge alongside.
Father of the Bride
This is my dad, Karl. He puts up with my corny jokes and didn't disown me when I became a vegetarian, which I appreciate. He loves watching sports, reading sci-fi and mystery novels, and sending me sassy memes. I wouldn't trade him for anyone else in the world - and I 'meme' it (sorry, Johnathan made me).
Father of the Groom
As you can see, this is my dad. He has helped me become the man that I am today. I am so thankful for all the sacrifices that he made to raise my two sisters and me. He is currently in the process of opening a food truck! So if you all enjoy the food at the reception, he's the one to see once he's up and running!
Mother of the Bride
I'm grateful to resemble my mom and for her spirit. She loves movies, cookies 'n cream ice cream, and wearing shorts and short sleeves all year long. She's my role model for knowing yourself and facing life's challenges with grace.
Step-Mother of the Groom
This is Jamie! She is a pretty amazing person. Her and my dad have been together for about three years now, and I am grateful that she has been a part of my life. Over the last three years, she has filled the role of being a mother. I am thankful that she is so easy to talk to, and that she is able to help out when I ask her for advice.
Maid of Honor
I've been friends with Breeanna since high school and we have supported each other through all of those life challenges that make your early twenties such a time of joy. I'm reminded of her whenever I see (a) zebra prints (b) cherry prints (c) ANYTHING turquoise, and (d) anything connected to the ocean. I'm grateful to have you in my life Bree!
Best Man
This here is Eric. He is one of my best friends and a brother to me. We met when I was probably in seventh or eighth grade and have been friends ever since. He is always there for me when I am in need. He is also one of the funniest guys I have ever met, so moments are never dull with him!
Bridesmaid
I connected with Shonna in high school and have been so grateful to be a part of her life and see all that she's accomplished. For some reason, I'm reminded of her when I see bird jewelry or Mary Oliver poems. Keep letting your light shine!
Groomsman
Irving is another one of my good friends! We met at Texas A&M University-Commerce through the band program and music majors and eventually became roommates. Irving is both a very skilled musician and very kind person. When I would be in a pickle and needed help with classes or food for the dorm room, Irving would always be there with ideas for writing, and cookies and brownies from the cafe. The most that would be on my criminal record would be stealing cups and plates from the cafe with him so could store all the cookies and Jumex juice we had.
Bridesmaid
I've grown up with Katie as close cousins and am so proud of everything she's accomplished. I think of her whenever I see anything to referring to music, cats, llamas, or Disney - so nowadays I think of her more than ever! Fun fact: we mailed bridesmaid requests as a surprise for each other's weddings and received them the same day.
Groomsman
Christopher is also a close friend. He is Eric's younger brother. Christopher is also like his brother in how he has helped me and has been there for me. There was never a moment when Christopher wasn't there. Two of my most memorable moments with Christopher are as follows (1) We were at his house hanging out with his mom and he happened to blow his nose and I hummed the pitch he created when he blew his nose and the three of us lost it in laughter! (2) We were at the mall in Frisco looking for the Gamestop, and when we found it Christopher and I told Eric, "we found Gamestop." Since then, every time we have driven by a Gamestop, we remind him we found it.
Bridesmaid
I've only known Tori in the past few years that I've been with Johnathan, but I have been grateful to get to know her and see her graduate from TCU last year. I think of her whenever I see dachshunds, anything related to Harry Potter, and anything with Lilo and Stitch. Can't wait to see what else you do, Tori!
Groomsman
Lucas has not been my friend as long as the other guys in my party, but that doesn't mean I cherish it any less. Lucas is such a kind and gentle individual who, from time to time, has some funny jokes. I will always be thankful for the friendship that Lucas and I have created. Lucas inspires me to be more kind to everyone every time I see him. Thanks for being an awesome friend Lucas.
Bridesmaid
I've known Diana well since high school and am so glad to still be a part of her life. I think of her whenever I encounter Jane Austen novels, owl decorations, and cute tea canisters. You have a wonderful soul and I can't wait to see what you do next!
Groomsman
Meh. This is Tre. I get to pick on him from time to time. He is Jamie's son. Tre is also a very funny individual who helps me remember that I am never "too old" to be a kid. The best moments with him are either when we are playing video games together (he is way better than me at them) or when we are in the car just hanging out, because he is always cracking jokes. When you meet him, ask him about the tuba knock knock joke, it'll blow you away.
