About Castello Di Ristonchi

We are so excited to welcome you to our stunning venue, Castello di Ristonchi in Tuscany, Italy! Ristonchi Castle is a rustic, 1,000 year old medieval castle surrounded by olive groves and a forest of chestnut trees and wild edibles. Castello di Ristonchi was commissioned by Italy’s famous Medici family in 900 AD and this 1,000+-year-old castle is still watching over the gorgeous Tuscan hillside landscape. Its rich history shows throughout the property with signs of monks, wars, and stonemasons. When you walk up to the mighty castle towering above you and through the large iron gate you are welcomed into a cozy reception area filled with dried herbs, our own olive oil, honey and local wine. From there you’ll enter the breakfast room with a wood-fired pizza oven built into the stone walls. Just past the oven through commanding wooden doors is the grand banquet hall with an ancient arched brick ceiling. Down a winding staircase you’ll arrive at the Rave Cave - our dungeon turned disco complete with speakers, lazers, lights and a mirror ball. Head outside of the Rave Cave and breathe in the smell of lavender as you step onto the stone terrace that wraps around the tower and offers incredible views of the sunset.It’s a place for nature lovers. Those who need a break from traffic and the busyness of life. It’s a place where you forget about your phone. Life here is too rich, too beautiful and smells too good to hide from behind a screen. The mountain begs to be explored, the wild mint demands to be touched and smelled.

How do we get to Castello di Ristonchi?
Answer
There are a few options. For self-directed travel, you should take the train to the station "Pontassieve" and from there, either take the bus or work with us for a shuttle pick up. You may also drive directly to the location if you're already renting a car in Italy.

Are Kids Welcomed?
Answer
Though we'd love to see your children, we have decided to have an adults-only affair. We hope that with this notice, you will be able to make arrangements and attend our wedding.

Is the RSVP for the 3 days?
Answer
Yes, when you RSVP you'll be included in 3 days of activities starting September 27th - September 30th. This is for ALL guests attending the wedding weekend, those staying on and off property.
Question
Will There Be Alcohol?
Answer
Well....it wouldn't be a Tuscan wedding without wine! We will be providing alcohol during most events. Check out the schedule- any time alcohol is mentioned - we will be providing it. That being said, speciality cocktails, beer, or additional bottles (or cases) of wine that you wish to consume will be available to purchase.
