Maid of Honor
Kaitlyn has been the brides best friend since they were both 1 year old. Kaitlyn and Alexandra are two peas in a pod. They know everything about each other and have literally been there for each other since the beginning of their lives. They grew up together living right across the street from each other. She is like a sister to Alexandra as Alexandra is to her. Alexandra has chosen her to be her Maid of Honor in honor of their incredibly special friendship.
Rafael Esparza
Best Man
The man with many names, Alejandro/ Alex/ Ale/ Rafael/Raf, is the Best Man. Rafael and Michael have been friends since the 11th grade. Raf is like the brother Michael never had—sometimes Raf is the big brother to Michael and other times Michael is the big brother to Raf. Raf and Michael keep one another grounded even when subject matter become uncomfortable—Michael values this dynamic. They’ve grown so much as men alongside one another and we challenge one another in a healthy way. Raf is often back and forth between the US and Europe for work and travel; he has a kind hearted Czech significant other named Jana (Yana).
Kiandra LaBrake
Bridesmaid
Kiandra is one of Alexandra’s best friends. They met about 6 years ago at Michaels birthday party. Sometimes they joke around and each other soulmates because they are so similar and always relate to each other. She has two beautiful children with one of Michael’s groomsmen, Nathan. Alexandra and Kiandra spend a lot of time together shopping, sharing fun memories & hanging out with her babies.
Miraje Walker
Bridesmaid
Miraje is the groom’s sister, and soon to be the bride’s sister in law. She enjoys hiking, going to the gym, & traveling. Miraje is funny, witty and very smart. She has taken Alexandra in as a sister since the beginning and she’s so grateful for their relationship. Alexandra and Miraje love going out to eat and try new places together as well as having family dinner days at the family home.
Michelle Cooklin
Bridesmaid
Michelle and Alexandra met when they worked together at a beauty supply back in 2016. They clicked instantly and have been very close ever since. She is always there when anyone needs a free therapist. She listens, understands and relates. Michelle and Alexandra love to talk about their life stories for hours. They enjoy going out to eat together and trying new fun places around San Diego. Michelle is an animal lover like the bride! She has 2 dogs & 2 cats.
Nathan LaBrake
Groomsman
Nathan and Michael have been friends since the 7th grade. Incredible and rare to have friends that go back so far. Nathan is part of a “trio” of friends alongside Tommy (other groomsmen) and Chris. We have grown together and supported one another in our life’s endeavors. Nathan has two beautiful children with his lovely wife Kiandra (bridesmaid).
Tommy Alegria
Groomsman
Tommy met Michael through Nathan during middle school. Tommy and Michael became instant friends and their relationship has flourished throughout the years. Tommy's outlook on life has always been to enjoy it; in this regard Tommy keeps Michael grounded through Tommy's insightful perspective on life. On a biographical level, Tommy is an incredibly creative artist who has a passion for music. He is uber funny, outgoing, and brings the best out of Michael. Not a laugh is spared when Tommy and Michael are together.
Juan Gomez
Groomsman
Despite being Michael's newest close friend (they met at SDSU during their undergraduate studies), Juan has proven to be of utmost dependability and trustworthiness. Juan calls things for what they are, there is no beating around the bush; Michael values this aspect of Juan. They’ve experienced many events and have made a lot of memories in a short period of time. Juan and Michael engage in critical discussions about life among other topics; they provide one another with humility and prevent hubris through speaking without restraint
