So this is how our story First Began, it’s a Friday and all week I have been playing phone tag with this guy I met through a mutual friend who at the time I didn’t realize would be the love of my life. This day could not have come fast enough as I anticipated our long awaited first date. The butterflies were relentless as I heard the car pull into the drive way and the door bell rang. Our 1st date was phenomenal. He arrived on time, (brownie points) that’s always a good sign ladies. (means that he is just as anxious) He made reservations at this local pottery and painting studio which was a secret at the time....As we headed to our destination I thought what a gentleman he opens doors. (more brownie points!) It was the best date ever we painted, talked and laughed in a public but intimate setting. I remember being so intrigued about this mystery guy that spent all week planning the perfect 1st date. I was smitten to say the least. Our second date was that next Friday night. Friday’s literally became date nights, our families found it cute and comical at that time. It was during this date, in the most least likely of moments where I discovered that he was the one! His light from his iPhone was shinning brightly as he spent the night snapping pictures and videos of our date. As he captured a photo while I sat across from him he stated ”your light is so bright” and initially it caught me off guard but I played it cool and replied “my light is so bright, no your light is so bright” and it was in that moment I realized he saw me and the beauty that was buried within. When someone sees you the way he saw me in that moment you just know. Our light is even brighter these days and I am so happy that we get to share it with the world. Friday nights are still a big deal and he still gives me butterflies and is the highlight of my life. Montè is compassionate, honest, and his love is pure. His love is like the ocean it’s wide, it’s deep, and it covers.
Many people think they know our proposal story but few including myself until recently, know the full story. So the story starts with a surprise photo shoot on 12.21.18. I booked a session with my photographer for my new release but mainly as an engagement shoot, sort of... I thought it would be cool to use our photos to announce our engagement but it was never my intentions to propose that night. Nevertheless, I found out days later that Celia thought I would pop the question during the session, need I say more, she was disappointed. So on the next day 12.22.18, I made plans for us to have a nice date night with some friends at Botanical Gardens, where I would propose. It seemed like this moment couldn’t come soon enough. The pressure was mounting and to make matters worst Celia was no where to be found, creating doubt that I would have to postpone the proposal. Unbeknown to me, she wasn’t over the fact that I didn’t propose the night before, so she wasn’t really in a date night type of mood. Finally she arrives home and that means we’re still on schedule. We arrive at Botanical Gardens and meet up with our friends. We walked around the park, as we enjoyed the different Christmas lights and decorations, it’s a perfect night. So many thoughts were running through my head, "where do I propose, whats the right spot" ? Then finally, the perfect location appears, this gigantic Christmas tree. This is my moment, I asked one of our friends to take our picture as we posed together I grabbed her hand and told her how I loved her, what she meant to me &that she was proof that God gives you the desires of your heart. I dropped to one knee and popped the question, will you marry me! She was totally surprised and teared up, and replied YES! Nearby guests celebrated and congratulated us. It was the happiest moment of my life. The rest is history we called all our friends &family then enjoyed a cup of cider and hot chocolate in the park.
