The beginning of our story...

Her side of the story

We had been mutual friends of friends for a few years, but never really crossed paths at the right time. (We've talked and realized how many times we've been in the same place at the same time and just never even knew!) A friend (thanks Jess!) asked me to go to the Sailor Moon musical with her. She said she had a male friend that would be joining as well, which I was excited about because I'd never met a guy that also liked Sailor Moon! Spoiler alert: It was Matt. I was definitely checking him out while we were talking after the movie. A few days later we were invited to margarita/enchilada night at the same friend's house. We bonded over Pokemon and other nerdy things, and I developed a huge crush. I bugged Jess afterwards for more info about him and became determined to spend more time with him somehow. I had been wanting to join a gym so I asked for recommendations on Facebook, and Matt was one of the first ones to reply. (PS - he's always on Facebook lol) Perfect! Problem was I was so out of shape I felt like I had to work out before I could even go so I didn't embarrass myself! I started using the treadmill at work while working up the nerve to ask him to go with me. In the meantime Matt had his own motives. He knew I hadn't seen Black Panther yet, and we had plans to go with a group of friends to see the Avengers movie the following month -which Black Panther was a part of, so I just had to see it first right? So he asked if I wanted to go see it with him. So smooth! I jumped at the chance. We went to the movie, then dinner after, then he took me home and we just couldn't stop talking. For hours. And for hours the next few days. Talking with Matt was like talking to a best friend I just hadn't met yet. I fell head over heels and have been falling since. In keeping with the super hero movies we made it official on April 26th 2018 after seeing the Avengers Infinity War movie. He's been my best friend boyfriend since, and soon husband. From infinity to beyond...

The Engagement:

6/25/2019

Megan turned 30, and got the best present - A fiancé! For my birthday I really wanted to go to Texas. I wanted Matt to meet some of my family and see my home state, and try reallly good brisket! But I also wanted some new adventures, so we decided on Austin, TX. We spent the day adventuring around town and trying good food, saw the capital, bought a fancy hat, and then found a SUPER cute mural and boom! Magic :) (check out the pictures page to see the mural!)
