"Maybe, just maybe, what you thought you were meant to do is not your destiny. Sometimes things go wrong so that you can find what is right." Colton and I's journey began in 2021 after I relocated from Denver to care for my beloved Uncle Jeff Orr, who had been diagnosed with ALS a few years prior. After living with my Arizona family for a few months, I became familiar with my aunt and uncle's circle of friends including a woman named Tina, who frequently urged me to meet her son, Colton. Although I initially found the idea off-putting, we finally met at a family BBQ and he left me feeling intrigued. After Colton added me on Instagram, we slowly struck up a friendship. We would hang out on Sundays, exploring different restaurants and bars around the east valley, chatting for hours about our past, present, and dreams. Colton became my rock during the painful decline of my uncle - never too overbearing, but always present enough for me to know I wasn't alone outside of my family. After my uncle's passing, I moved into my own home. Colton regularly stopped by to hang out and I often accompanied him to car photoshoots. He became a huge help around the house - helping me paint walls, hang blinds, clean pool filters, and reach things on the top shelf ;) It quickly became evident that our friendship was turning into something more. In mid-summer, we began dating but kept it a secret from our families for over a month, cherishing our private time together. What started as a friendship blossomed into a beautiful love story we couldn’t wait to share when the time was right. Fast forward to last year, we welcomed our daughter, Copelynn Jade, into the world. Colton and I are so thrilled to have you apart of their love story and cannot wait to celebrate with you in March!
