About our Wedding Day

Our ceremony will be a time of worship, where we will come together in reverence and joy to bless our union. During our time of prayer and reflection, we will embrace the love that binds us and celebrate the divine gift of marriage. The entire event will take place in one location, allowing us to have an intimate experience with the people we love most. The dress code will be semi-formal attire, with comfortable shoes recommended for dancing and walking on gravel and grass. We eagerly anticipate sharing this unforgettable day with you, surrounded by love, laughter, and dancing under the stars. Your presence will make our celebration complete. With love, Shauna and Jordan

Bring your dancing shoes!

As a nod to Jordan and Shauna's love story, which began on the dance floor, line dancing will be incorporated into the festivities. Join us for line dancing lessons during cocktail hour so we can dance together during the reception in celebration of this special day. No experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and your dancing shoes! Check back here in a few weeks if you’d like to get a head start. We will post some tutorials!

We kindly ask that you leave your children at home

Thank you for understanding.

The Story of How We Met

On a Friday night in May of 2016, Shauna was visiting a line dancing bar in South Florida with her friend Ashley. They were seated at a high-top table, engrossed in conversation. Meanwhile, Jordan, who was living in Florida at the time, was introducing his friends, Al and Monica, visiting from Virginia, to the local scene. Shauna caught Jordan’s eye while she was line dancing, prompting him to devise a creative plan to capture her attention. With his warm smile and charming demeanor, he approached their table, holding a bucket of beer, and politely asked if he could set down his drinks. Periodically Jordan would return to their table for another beer, smoothly integrating himself into Shauna and Ashley's conversation. Eventually, his strategy paid off. Shauna and Jordan struck up a conversation, bonding over their shared passion for the movie and television industry. At the time, Shauna was considering a move to LA and Jordan's brother was working as an actor there. So they decided to exchange contact information. Although Ashley wasn't as enthusiastic about dancing as Shauna, Jordan made sure she felt included, inviting her to join them on the dance floor. Shauna initially misinterpreted Jordan's intentions, believing he was interested in Ashley. But at the end of the night, when Shauna offered to give Jordan Ashley’s phone number, he playfully responded, “I already got the phone number I wanted!” Embarrassed, Shauna responded that she was actually dating someone. Jordan apologized sincerely but couldn't resist adding, "If you're ever single, let me know." About two months later, Jordan texted Shauna to confirm that she had reached out to him on LinkedIn. Following a brief conversation, Shauna revealed she was single. Just two days later they went on their first date: indoor mini golf and dinner together in Pembroke Pines, Florida. And now, almost eight years later, here we are!

The Story of Our Proposal

For those of you who may not know, Jordan and Shauna are building a house. Because Jordan and Shauna have been together for so long and marriage was the plan from pretty early on, Jordan always said the proposal would be "on a random Tuesday" so Shauna would never see it coming. Well, on Wednesday, December 20 2023, Jordan texted Shauna at work and asked if she wanted to go over to the land, grab some wine and pizza and burn the bonfire they had been building for weeks. Shauna thought nothing odd about this! So after they both got off work, they went over to the land with pizza in hand. Jordan quickly worked to get the fire going, because it was a cold night. For a brief moment, Shauna thought it odd that Jordan was tending to the fire and letting her eat her pizza without him. But it was a fleeting moment. While Jordan was working on the fire, Shauna tried getting the bottle of wine open, but of course, the cork was stuck in the bottle. Following dinner by the fire, Jordan was determined to get the bottle opened. He knew Shauna loves saving wine corks that have significance. So he went to car to find a solution, and while he was there, he slipped the ring box in his pocket. He returned from the car and got the bottle opened using a screw and a hammer! They laughed at how many things were going wrong that evening and Shauna said, “but I'm having a great time!" Jordan then asked Shauna to help tend to the fire by moving some logs onto the flames. As Shauna clumsily did so in true fashion to her personality, Jordan looked endearingly at Shauna thinking, "yep, there she is." Her back was turned as Jordan dropped to one knee. When Shauna turned around to face Jordan, her beanie was pulled down over her face, causing her to trip. As Shauna pulled up her beanie, she saw Jordan on one knee and exclaimed "really?!?" To which Jordan replied, "yes Shauna, will you marry me?"
