Tucker and I met in 2015, when Tucker transferred to the Lifetime Fitness in Colorado Springs. We weren’t immediate friends, as Tucker is a mega introvert, so the first little while of us working together consisted of me peppering him with questions to break the awkward silence in the laundry room. Eventually though, he started carrying his part of the conversation and from there we became friends. In the Fall of 2015, we moved into a house with two of our other friends and became roommates (cue the meme). Not long after, Tucker mustered up the courage to make the first move and ask me on our first date. He took me stargazing and we got caught in a midnight rainstorm (still the best date I’ve ever been on). Fast forward to 2019, we were long distance, as I was finishing up my degree in Colorado, while Tucker had been promoted and moved to Seattle to pursue the opportunity. He asked me out of the blue one day if I wanted to meet him in Florida for a trip to Disney World, to see Galaxy’s Edge. I, of course, said yes (big Disney fan here), none the wiser to his real motives. On February 9th, 2020, after looping me around the Epcot World Showcase three times to secretly scout out the perfect spot, Tucker asked me to sit with him in a garden terrace near the French pavilion. There, he pulled a ring out of his coat pocket and asked me to marry him while I was obliviously admiring the flowers. I cried and said yes! Three years and one pandemic later, we will finally be getting married! Tucker's wonderful father will be officiating our legal ceremony in Boston, MA before we fly off to the Isle of Skye to elope and exchange vows.
