Matthew and Emily met on May 19th, 2018. What started as an emotional day on the 10th anniversary of Emily's dad's passing, ended with one of her most memorable nights out in West Chester with her friend, Sam. For Matthew, it was just another boy's night out. As fate would have it, they both decided to go to Saloon 151. Great music, cheap beer, and a lot of dancing! When Emily was heading to the bar, Matthew approached her with the line "You seem cool, I'd like to take you on a date sometime" to which Emily replied with, "Well I'm not into fancy dinners, so what were you thinking?" Matthew said, "I want to take you kayaking." and So they exchanged numbers! After they parted ways, Matthew called to confirm that Emily didn't give him a phony number (she didn't). The next day, with Sam's persuasion, Emily begrudgingly texted Matthew to make the first move and their first date was a couple of drinks at Restaurant 51 in West Chester. Instead their second date was kayaking at Marsh Creek State Park.

Matthew and Emily were in Carmel, California at the beautiful Swirling Hawk Vineyard. It was an Arizini family reunion! During the trip, Emily had the responsibility of keeping the first, Arizini, grand-baby’s gender a secret. While Emily was planning for the gender reveal, Matthew had a secret of his own. That day started out with a beautiful hike while Matthew and the whole family banded together to set up the most romantic proposal with an unbelievable view of the vineyard, big shout out to Trevor for capturing the whole thing. Matthew had one of their favorite songs playing when he asked Emily to marry him, and she said yes!
