Question

Where will the ceremony & reception take place?

Answer

Foster's Clambake & Catering 5 Axholme Road, York, ME 03909 Ceremony will be held outdoors behind Foster's. Look for the wooden arbor in front of the pond on the grass, adjacent to parking. In the case of rain, ceremony will be held in the York Room that is located by the front entrance of the building. The Pavillion Room is where all the eating, drinking and dancing will take place! There is an entrance convenient to the outdoor ceremony site and parking. The street entrance will also lead you to the celebration!

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Behind Foster's. Foster's has a large free parking lot behind the building. The driveway is directly left of the venue's front entrance.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Ceremony starts at 3:00PM Please arrive in plenty time to allow yourself to get settled before the start of ceremony. We want to avoid any disruptions during this sacred moment of unity. In the case that you do arrive late; you will be instructed to park out front and must walk back to the ceremony site to avoid distraction. Please respect the timeline of events.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-formal attire. We want all of our guests to feel fabulous as we celebrate our love. We will be dancing the night away so be sure to wear something you can really move in! Be mindful, the ceremony takes place outdoors on soft grass. So please wear appropriate shoes. Avoid thin, stiletto-like heels. Please no jeans, t-shirts or sweatshirts. Do not be the guest that wears white.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Fall Equinox in Southern Maine. September is one of the most beautiful and enjoyable months in New England. However, the weather here is known for being temperamental. Mark Twain's infamous words, "If you don't like the weather in New England now, just wait a few minutes." Temperatures can range anywhere from 50-80 degrees in a single day. Layers are your best friend! I suggest bringing a shawl and/or jacket for at least the ceremony, which will be held outdoors. In the case of rain, the ceremony will be held indoors.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?
