During winter break of tenth grade, Jonathan and his friend decided on a whim to go to the Sunrise Mall. This was a hangout frequented by Emily and her friends who lived several towns away. Emily just so happened to spot a cute boy who turned out to be Jonathan... so naturally she and her friend decided to follow the boys store to store just to see if they would notice (they didn't). Emily ended up losing track of the boys in Walmart, but they eventually came face-to-face when Jonathan and his friend ascended a staircase to the food court. An instant connection was made, and they all continued window shopping together until the day ended. Jonathan and Emily immediately became best friends, and Jonathan even introduced Emily to his mom that same day. Less than two months later, they made their relationship official. Now, a decade later, they live in their first apartment with their two beautiful cats and they are making plans to spend the rest of their lives together.
