We fell in love with Palm Springs the first time we visited the town. The weather, the lush palms, the architecture, the food and the people! We are excited to share the magic of this town with all of you. We've included our favorite "to do's" on the site but definitely encourage walking the downtown strip and wondering in all the shops and galleries. Enjoy!
Our wedding is being held at the Dinah Shore Estate. Dinah Shore was an American singer, actress, and television personality, and the chart-topping female vocalist of the 1940s. She rose to prominence as a recording artist during the Big Band era. She achieved even greater success a decade later in television, mainly as the host of a series of variety programs for the Chevrolet automobile company. This iconic, Mid-Century home was designed by renowned architect Donald Wexler in 1964. His work is predominantly in the Palm Springs, California, area. He is known for having pioneered the use of steel in residential design. Today, the home is owned by famed American actor Leonardo Di Caprio.
Palm Springs has large temperature swings between day and night. The highs will be in the mid-80's and lows in the mid-50's.
Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is located in the heart of Palm Springs. Once you arrive, it is just minutes to any hotels and restaurants in the area. Recommending flying here.
The easiest way to get around Palm Springs is driving and there is lots of free parking. That said, if you stay directly downtown you can walk to most things. The main street (North Palm Canyon Drive) is a few miles long. Uber and Lyft are both easily available in the town.
It is important you type in "432 Hermosa Place" when getting directions. Anything different will take you to a different house.
Palm Springs spans north/south on Palm Canyon Drive. We recommend staying between the boundaries of the Visitors Center (north of town) and The Parker hotel (south of town). Within those boundaries everything is within a short drive or uber.
