American cuisine with a fun retro vibe!
Erica's favorite weekday lunch spot! She recommends the chorizo and cheese empanada. McKinley likes the butternut squash!
Fun Cuban cuisine and sandwiches
Maymont is a non-profit park featuring a children's farm, a ton of gorgeous trees, and a historic house. Great for walking out in nature, if the weather is right for it! See if you can find the massive magnolia where a ring of power changed hands!
Science! They also have a SR-71 Blackbird hanging from the ceiling, so that's pretty cool!
They have a suspicious amount of art here. Entrance is free to the whole museum except for special exhibitions, so you only need to pay to park, and they're open every day! Bonus points if you can find a painting from the Hudson River School, which is McKinley's Vibe.
Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden has a lot of cool trees and plants, and a very pretty glass pavilion. Entry is a bit pricy though, and be sure to check online for their hours before you plan a trip! We would advise you to find Erica's favorite plant, but she has a lot of them so it would be a long list.
