We met, as most do these days, via online dating. It was the summer of 2020, and living in Queens, folks were still a bit wary of seeing one another in person. Katie's first impression was that Jimmy wasn't the best at striking up conversation, and yet after a girls night of drinks and encouragement from friends, she had herself a date. We met for the first time at The Harrison in Floral Park, NY. This night was memorable for multiple reasons. For Jimmy, it was really easy to remember as his phone wouldn't stop vibrating with messages from friends about the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Tampa Bay Lightning going into overtime five times. For Katie, it was the first time she had eaten inside a restaurant in months. Alas, we struck up a conversation that lasted almost until the restaurant closed. Following that date, we bonded and fell in love over our shared love of family, friends, dogs, and all things Irish. On March 19, 2023, surrounded by some of our family and friends, Jimmy got down on one knee at the Pearl River St. Patrick's Day Parade and asked Katie, "Will you make me the luckiest guy at the parade and happiest man in the world?" To which Katie said.... of course she responded yes, or you would not be here! :) We truly cannot wait to celebrate becoming husband and wife with you all!
