FAQs

Have questions? We have answers (probably).
Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to spacial and budgetary restrictions, we’re only able to accommodate those listed on the invitation. Please reach out if you have any questions!

Question

Can I bring my baby?

Answer

Yes, please! We love your babies and would love to squish them whenever possible.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Whatever you feel comfortable in! Personally, we’ll be wearing white dresses — but that’s just us. If we had to choose, we'd say to expect something along the lines of “dressy casual.”

Question

Do I really have to RSVP?

Answer

Yes, please! It’s the fastest and easiest way for us to keep track of those who will be attending and communicate those numbers to our vendors to ensure a seamless event for everyone. RSVPs must be submitted no later than October 11th (but the earlier, the better!) even if you *won't* be attending. We ask that everyone, including close friends, family, and members of the wedding party, RSVP. Even if you've verbally told us you're coming, or you assume we'd know, please still fill out the quick form online on the RSVP tab of the site (https://www.zola.com/wedding/mcclureswedding/rsvp). If you’re having trouble completing the online RSVP, please reach out or ask a young person for assistance. If you fail to RSVP by the stated deadline, expect to bring a chair and a sandwich.

Question

Do you have a registry? What are you doing for gifts?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but if you’d like to provide a gift, we have a few registries to choose from. We’re currently using Joy’s honeymoon fund registry to collect gifts that will go toward our honeymoon celebration in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. The registry site doesn't actually process gifts, but directs guests to our Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal accounts for easy giving. On Joy, guests are encouraged to enter the intended amount to "reserve" the gift, then complete the transaction using one of the payment services, and return to the Joy site to mark the gift as made. We have a limited Amazon registry as well, though we have most of the essentials in our home already. Links to both registries are available on the Registry tab of our wedding website (https://www.zola.com/wedding/mcclureswedding/registry) if you’re interested in checking them out. Please let us know if you have any questions about the registries! There will also be a dedicated table at the reception for cards and gifts.

Question

Where are the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony is occuring at the United Church of Christ, at 203 Washington St, New Smyrna Beach, FL. Immediately following the ceremony, the reception will take place at the Palmetto Club banquet hall, at 1000 S Beach St, Daytona Beach, FL, which is a 20-25 minute drive from the church.

Question

What does the parking situation look like?

Answer

There’s a decent-sized parking lot directly behind the church (UCC NSB, by the associated thrift store). If needed, there is also street parking available off of Faulkner and Washington streets. The reception hall at the Palmetto Club also has its own parking lot, which should have ample space for guests.

Question

What time should I arrive? When will it end?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 pm, so we recommend guests planning to arrive 15-30 minutes beforehand to get settled before the big event! The ceremony is expected to wrap up around 3:30, with cocktail hour starting at the reception hall around 4:00. Then, we’ll party all night (until around 9:00 pm).

Question

Can we take and post pictures?

Answer

Yes, we encourage it! Feel free to share photos on social media using the hashtag #McClureInLove. However, please be mindful that there will be two professional photographers around, and we ask that guests stay out of their way while they do their jobs (we’ve given our photographers permission to punt those that fail to oblige).

Question

What kind of food will be available?

Answer

Food will be served buffet-style, so there’s no need to select a meal choice! Appetizers will be made available during cocktail hour, and a main dinner served during the reception. We’ll have vegetarian and meat-based options. Please let us know if you have any allergens or dietary restrictions we should be aware of.

Question

Will there be alcoholic beverages?

Answer

Yes! There will be a full bar available for guests to purchase drinks at the reception. The venue accepts cash and credit/debit payments, and there will be a complimentary champagne toast as well. In order to play by the rules of the venue, guests will not be allowed to bring their own alcohol to the event or remove drinks from the premises.

Question

How can I contact you with additional questions?

Answer

Feel free to email us at our wedding-specific email address, mcclureswedding@gmail.com, or call/text Gabi at (386) 871-6471 or Candy at (386) 444-9714.
