Wedding Party

Joe and I are blessed to have an abundance of friends to share this day with. If you are interested, please take a minute to read and learn about the very special people in our lives. We are so grateful for their friendships over the years, and for many more to come. Below are the names of our wedding party that will be standing next to us on 9/08/2023.

Stephanie Chmiel

Maid of Honor

Abby and Stephanie have been best friends since the fifth grade. Their friendship is fueled by late-night Disney movie marathons, Coca-cola, laughs, and love. Despite time and distance, these two will always be close. Cheers to the friends that become family and the bonds that can never be broken - we are lucky to have found it. Abby couldn't do life without her person, Steph.

Megan Crump

Bridesmaid

Abby and Megan are only ten days apart in age, and it has made for the best experience for cousins growing up! The two have been close since birth and have stayed that way for the last 26 years. Whenever these two are together you can count on laughs and all kinds of goofiness to ensue. The two share a special bond as family members, but also as best friends.

Jessica Hasenau

Bridesmaid

Abby and Jessie had an unconventional start to their friendship, but it remains one of the most amazing products of college. Starting out as strangers, they spent their sophomore year as roommates supporting each other, making late-night taco bell runs, and developing a lasting friendship. Their friendship is built on brutal honesty and the ability to find the best in every situation! Catch them having their daily vent/gossip phone calls at 5pm every weekday.

Nicole Fisk

Bridesmaid

Abby and Nicole met while doing at-home facemasks at a sorority event during their freshmen year of college. The two bonded over their stick shift driving abilities, hatred for mornings, and love of adventures. Abby and Nicole were seen side by side nearly every day after that. From daily phone calls, library study dates, fun nights out, and everything in between the stories and memories are endless. These two will continue to make lasting memories for many years to come, as they always have.

Ashley Centers

Bridesmaid

The Walker Roadhouse strikes again - not only did we get the duo of Abby and Joe from this lovely restaurant, but we also got the duo of Abby and Ashley. Even though Joe will try to convince you that he is Ashley's favorite, it is undoubtedly Abby and Ashley that have a wonderful friendship. You can find the two out dancing anyone on the dance floor, eating (and not sharing) snacks in the corner, on a shopping spree that lasts hours, or staying in and baking brownies while talking about anything and everything. The two share a special sense of humor and carry out their friendship with jokes, support, and genuine connection.

Ian McClure

Bridesman

Abby and Ian have outgrown their tendencies to yell at each other and now talk every single day. The two spend as much time together as they can and are always there for each other. Being siblings with such a large age gap can be challenging, but they don't let that affect their friendship. Even though Abby sometimes suspects that Ian may like Joe more than her (just kidding) and she is not happy that Ian is now taller than her, these two have a remarkable relationship. Whether it is spilling sparkling grape juice all over the living room carpet or spending the week at Abby's house building outdoor patio furniture, these two have made countless memories. Abby couldn't think of a better place for Ian to be than standing next to her on this day.

Greg Palmer

Best Man

Joe and Greg have been friends ever since Greg showed up in Cadillac for the eighth grade. They spent their younger years in the same friend group but didn't develop the close bond they share now until high school. Up until 2021, the two had been roommates for over 10 - so they are technically common law married...sorry Abby. And of course, we can forget about their child - Ziggy. Joe and Greg's friendship is built on a foundation of dark humor, good debates/arguments, and having each other's backs. Joe and Greg's bond is more than friendship, it is brotherhood.

Tom Kathan

Groomsman

When asked about each other Joe and Tom will describe the other in the same way: a piece of shit. These two connect on a level of understanding that most people don't get. Even though it seems like these two can never agree on anything, they love hanging out. Joe and Tom bond over two things...the mustaches and football. There is no one else Joe loves to harass more than Tom and he wouldn't trade their friendship for anything.

Morgan Kathan

Groomswoman

Joe and Morgan have known each other since high school and have gone from being mere acquaintances, to roommates, to close friends. Joe and Morgan bonded over their love of "Worst Behavior". Their memories include SchoolBoyQ, Vegas, and fantasy football. Joe knows if he ever needed to call a friend, he can call Morgan and she will be there. The friendship that these two share is special.

Jacob Combs

Groomsman

The pair will tell you that they started out as enemies...but the past 8 years would prove that wrong. Joe and Combs bond over their sense of adventure and willingness to experience new things. Joe and Combs share a versatile friendship - the type where one day they will be playing video games for hours, traveling to Washington D.C. for a week, or enjoying their annual ski day at Caberfae. The two have shared their ups and downs - seen the worst and the best in each other - and have come out of it as lifelong friends.

Brock Wilhlem

Groomsman

Joe and Brock's friendship makes sense because both are very chill and fun guys. They have never sweated the small stuff - they only ever get worked up about football-related topics. Even though their dreams of becoming fantasy football podcasters never came true, the two continue to have a great friendship. Since their hockey days, Joe and Brock could count on each other no matter what.

James Cronkhite

Groomsman

Where to even begin with Jones...Joe and James have been best friends for years. These two can be remembered by many as a duo all through their younger years. If Joe was around, James wasn't far behind. Pretty much anyone of Joe's family members could attest to that. And even though James has lived in Kansas for the last four years, the two are still best friends. They are the type of friends that can get together after months and fall back into it as though no time has passed at all. Most of their stories are not stories that can be shared here, for it would take too long and may lead to embarrassment for everyone involved, they are true to this pair's nature. Joe and James have been there for each other through all that life has to offer and will continue to be forever. GCC for life.

To Our Friends

Priceless

Even though you are standing on one specific side, please know that over the six years in which Joe and I have been together, we have come to know and love each other's friends as our own. We are grateful for the new memories and connections we have cultivated with all of you as our own relationship has grown. We hope you know that you all mean the world to us and we are endlessly appreciative of your roles in our life.
