Dress Code
Answer
Festive Attire, which is comfortable cocktail party attire, or pirate costumes. Yes, we mean pirate costumes. Feel free to dress up like Captain Hook or Elizabeth Swan. Anything that you can dance in, but nothing terribly frightening as kids are invited.

Are kids invited?
Answer
Kids are welcome and invited. There will be games and non-alcoholic beverages. (for kids and adults). We ask that kids be respectful of the ceremony and other party attendees.

Should I be vaccinated?
Answer
We are asking all guests and vendors who are attending our wedding in-person to please be vaccinated and boosted before attending the wedding. Our wedding will be hosted in a pre-Covid style. This means no masks and no distancing. We understand that the situation above may make your attendance of our wedding in-person impossible. We love you and will miss you, and as much as we want to start our marriage with you present, we want you to keep all of our other loved ones safe more. We hope that by starting this conversation early, we can discuss what works best for all of us.

Can I bring a date?
Answer
If your invitation included your partner's name or 'guest,' then you are welcome to bring your significant other. If not, we prefer to see just you. If you have any questions about this, please ask Mike or Janine.

Can I bring alcohol?
Answer
No. Our venue contract and event insurance prohibit guests from bringing alcohol. However, we have hired bartenders and will be providing adult beverages on site.

Is smoking allowed?
Answer
No. The bride has asthma and there will be children in attendance. Please refrain from smoking on or near the venue site.

Parking?
Answer
There is a dedicated parking lot just around the corner from the venue. Wedding guests are able to park vehicles in the venue lot at no charge. The Kings Inn San Diego is steps away from the ceremony/reception venue. Uber & Lyft services are widely available in San Diego.

Do you have a hotel block for guests?
Answer
We worked with the Kings Inn San Diego to block out discounts for rooms. Please call 619-297-2231 prior to May 10th, 2022 to lock in your discount rate.

What if I can't make it?
Answer
You will be missed. With the many complications of Covid, lock downs, and life in general, we understand that not everyone will be able to attend. Please RSVP as "sad to miss it" so that we can plan accordingly. If you'd like to watch the wedding, we will have webcam set up so you can watch.
