Darcy is one of Katie’s best friends. Her husband is the Best Man in the wedding. Darcy and Chris are our favorite double date buddies. We were there for both of our engagements and got them on video!

Mia Swink was Katie’s college roomate from Freshman to Junior year. They have been best friends and great workout/adventure buddies. Mia was the one who set Katie and Kyle up! Mia got married in May 2019 and Katie was a bridesmaid.

Kristina Duemmler

Kristina Duemmler was one of Katie’s college roommates from freshman to sophomore year. Kristina and Katie have gone to many school functions together such as football games and bingo. They love to go where there is free food! She is one of Katie’s closest friends and when they see eachother it’s like nothing changed. Kristina got married to Lukas in June 2017.

Sam Connors

Sam Connors was one of Katie’s sorority sisters. They met freshman year and discovered they had similar academic interests. Sam and Katie have worked in similar labs on projects involving hydrology. Additionally, Sam has been a great listener and friend to Katie. She has provided endless jokes and lots of support through stressful times.

Haley Herrick is Katie’s best friend. They met in Fall 2017 during the dreaded class of Field Methods. Sam, Haley and Katie were three musketeers ever since. Haley joined a lab Katie was working in and got even closer. Before you know it, they became roommates their senior year and best friends. From going to early morning cycling to hosting holiday parties; it was a blast and a blessing!

Kimberly Small

Kimberly Small is Katie’s Mom. They are very fortunate for the relationship they have together. They tell each other everything and are always there to listen. There is never a dull moment with this duo. They love to have fun, bargain shop and kick back and play Yahtzee. Kimberly is a huge inspiration to Katie. She runs her own business, is an awesome Mom and a killer athlete.

Emma Lasky

Emma Lasky is one of Katie’s sorority sisters. They met their freshman year and got closer through AOE. At their senior year they roomed together. Katie, Sam, Haley and Emma became great friends and often did things together. They loved to eat at their favorite Asian restaurant and enjoyed watching scary movies. Katie and Emma both share a love for cats! Emma is now engaged and plans to get married in 2020.

Megan Sutton is Katie’s childhood best friend. They have been friends since kindergarten. They have been on many different trips together growing up to Puerto Rico to Mexico to Myrtle Beach. Now as they have grown up they don’t see each other as often but when they do it’s an instant reconnect.
