We worked at the same restaurant for about three years, one of us in the front and one in the kitchen, before we really got to know each other. Once we were both working in the kitchen, we became friends and would spend time together with our group outside of work. The more we talked, the more we began to like each other, and eventually started dating in November of 2019.

Mayson arranged a trip to San Diego for our three year anniversary. He planned this trip in August about 3 months early, which is much earlier than usual, so I had a strong suspicion what the trip was for! There was no way to be certain, but I did in fact bring champagne in my suitcase and sneak it into the fridge for that night to celebrate. We went to La Jolla and walked around on the beach, and when he set up his tripod to "take a picture," he got down on one knee.

We are so thankful that you have been a part of our lives and that we will be able to share our special day with you. We have spent the last few years having fun together, sharing hard times and joyful ones, making memories, taking trips, and learning everything about each other and cannot wait to take the next step to officially start our life together. We are so lucky to have each other, and you.
