Cocktail Attire: Wear cocktail dresses, dress jackets and dress shirts, LBDs, dressy jumpsuits, and feel free to mix in some linens and lighter hues. Dress shirts without blazers are welcome due to the hotter time of year. Think "coastal cocktail" attire. Please do not wear white to our wedding outside of dress shirts and linen shirts/jackets. The ceremony will take place on grass.
It is important to note that the land where we will be getting married sits on the Neuse River, which is derived from the Native American Neusiok tribe and can be translated to “peace”. The Neuse River was named by English explorer Arthur Barlowe in 1584 and was an essential landmark to the Tuscarora (self-named Skarureh) Native American tribe.
