The Wedding Ceremony will be held at Mildred B. Cooper Chapel in Bella Vista, AR. It is about 40 minutes from Mount Sequoyah Center. The reception will be in Parker Hall at Mount Sequoyah.
The Ceremony starts at 11AM and the Reception will follow at 1PM to allow time for quests to arrive.
The dress code is Fun, Fancy, and Fabulous! Our theme is Celestial/Stars and Moons so feel free to dress to match, or wear something fabulous! Do you have a dress, shirt, pants, etc. that you've never worn because you didn't have the right occasion? Wear it! Have you bought yourself a fun hat that stands out? Wear it! We want our guests to feel happy and comfortable, so get inspired!
If you know Arkansas, you know that the weather isn't always predictable. Of course we can't guarantee what our special day will be like, but it IS the middle of winter so dress warm or in layers! Make appeals to the weather gods that it will be a clear day!
The wedding ceremony will be inside Mildred B. Cooper Chapel, but it is a one or two minute walk from the parking lot to the Chapel, so be prepared if the weather isn't agreeable.
After the ceremony, the bridal party and immediate family will take photos, then drive to Mount Sequoyah for the reception at Parker Hall. Feel free to head to Parker Hall for the lunch reception where food and drink will be flowing!
There is ample free parking at Cooper Chapel and Mount Sequoyah. Family and friends will be carpooling, so there should be plenty of rides available if you don't want to drive the 40 minutes to and from the Chapel.
On Saturday the 30th we will hold an informal Welcome Breakfast for out-of-town guests. This will include coffee, tea, juice, pastries, and fruit. After the wedding reception Alice McKee will have crafting activities for anyone to do from 4-6pm at Parker Hall. There will also be various board and card games available at Parker Hall and Young Lodge.
We hope you can join us on our special day! There is an RSVP card included with your invitation that should be filled out and returned, or feel free to RSVP here on our website!
Please RSVP by mail or website by December 1st.
Please feel free to bring your children so we can all celebrate together, but be aware that there will not be a babysitter or kids area at the ceremony or reception. We will have a few activities that kids can join in on but we will not be responsible for occupying or taking care of your kids.
We are at capacity with our venue which means we are sadly unable to accommodate additional guests. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out.
We have certain houses reserved for the weekend of our wedding, but space might be limited. Please check the Accommodations section for details on rooms at Mount Sequoyah and other hotels we recommend.
Yes, both are wheelchair accessible!
We are so happy to have our Reception catered by Briar Rose Bakery! It will be a full spread of country-style New Year's Eve food: ham, black-eyed pea salad, cheese grits, greens, scallop potatoes, and cornbread. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will also be available.
We definitely want to make sure you enjoy your time and meal on our wedding day, so please let us know when you RSVP about your dietary needs.
Because it is a lunch reception, we won't be offering an open bar. We will have champagne, wine, and beer for your enjoyment.
We aren't registered at any stores or websites because we have all that we need! But if you would like to contribute to our honeymoon fund please go to the Registry section of this website. If you'd like to give in person there will be a table reserved for gifts at the reception venue, and if you'd like to mail a gift our address is 14443 Mineral Springs Rd. West Fork, AR 72774
We ask that you refrain from taking photos or videos during the wedding ceremony, but please take as many as you'd like during the rest of the wedding and reception! Please tag any photos of us with #maxandcassie so we can see them too!
Health and safety are very important to us. All of our families have taken the vaccine and most are up-to-date with current boosters. There will be young children and seniors present at the ceremony and reception so we ask that you please receive the vaccine and booster by the wedding. Remember to wash your hands but be aware that most of us won't be wearing masks. If you want to wear a mask please do and we will respect social distancing.
Please contact the Matron of Honor, Sarah Thomas, or Wedding Planner, Amy, for more details.
