Their Story

Max and Casey met as teenagers at Paso Robles High School. While they don't remember the exact moment they met, each has many fond memories from those early years of their friendship. Nevertheless, there was always a magnetic draw to one another. A tiny flame that was constantly reserved for each other. Shortly after graduating in 2007, Max and Casey went on a few dates. Max tried his hand at a vegetarian dinner and dessert for Casey and her family, they went for a long walk on the beach, and Casey hung out with Max in his shop while he forged her a leaf key chain that she still has to this day. They took their sweet time getting to know each other. It's often said that youth is wasted on the young, and sometimes so is love. In those days, they both had a lot of healing and growing to do, and chose to remain friends as they went separate ways. Each learned and grew in through their own adventures, tragedies, and triumphs. In the summer of 2017 Casey was attempting to learn how to throw knives, and she reached out to her blacksmith friend to see if he knew how to throw knives. Max promptly responded with "Nope, but I've got some rose on ice, come on over and I’m sure we could figure it out." On July 13th, a very hot day, ten years after graduating from Paso High, Max and Casey reconnected over throwing knives and rosé. Apparently, there were plenty of fireworks left, it was a true meeting of the souls. They talking the night away, completely enraptured in what the other might say next. Now older and wiser, they fell for each other instantly. Timing is a funny thing. For the first time, they truly met each other. Over the course of being inseparable for six years, Casey and Max have faced many challenging and beautiful moments together. They celebrate every 13th as their monthly dedicated day to appreciate and honor their love. On October 1st 2023, after reading one of Casey's favorite Edgar Allan Poe poems, Max dropped to one knee in their pumpkin patch and asked her to marry him - Casey though shocked, gave a resounding yes! The betrothed are excited to invite you to their wedding weekend along with all the people who have shared so much love with them through the years!
