In 2007 in St. Louis, Missouri. Cheryl was working full-time as a childcare teacher, and part time at Children’s Place and going to Chamberlain College of Nursing. Maurice was working at Carol’s Childcare and Allied-Barton Security Services. They already had a few things in common, like working in childcare, having 2 other siblings and being the middle child. Cheryl met Maurice through her cousin, who was Maurice’s roommate at the time. After months of hanging out and weekend partying🎉 at Maurice’s house. Maurice began confiding in Cheryl’s best friend Tiffany about his feelings 😍🥰😍for her. Tiffany NEVER told Cheryl about Maurice's feelings about her. Maurice decided to make his move one night as a group of them went out partying. That night after the club, everyone decided to go out to eat. While out for an early morning breakfast🥓🍳, Maurice finally expressed himself to Cheryl. The next day, Maurice asks Cheryl out on a date. That date was the first of many to come. Cheryl thought Maurice was funny, charming, sweet, and had a great smile! 😁 Cheryl told Maurice early in their relationship she would end up falling in LOVE ❤️ with him and she did!😍🥰
As you would expect, Maurice and Cheryl spent more time together. They would talk and laugh for hours on the couch or on the phone. Overtime, their friendship really grew. In 2008, they took their 1st road trip together to Houston, Texas for Valentine’s Day. Tiffany drove us all the way to Texas. Lol! 😂🤣As months went on, they spent much more time together and later found out they were expecting a little bundle of joy! 🤰🍼At the top of the morning on June 18, 2009 they welcomed their one and only baby boy 👶🏾 Maurice Jr. into the world.
So, skipping all the way ahead to 🎇July 4, 2021 in Grafton, Illinois at Grafton Winery & Brewhaus. 🍷What Cheryl thought was a girls' day out! Turned into one of the best days of her LIFE!!! Maurice had a huge surprise awaiting her. Maurice had rented a party bus🚐 to drive their immediate family and some of their closest friends out to the winery for food and endless wine 🍷 and witness him ask for Cheryl’s hand in marriage. 💍 Finally, Maurice bent the knee and of course Cheryl said 'YES!!!' They spent the rest of that 4th of July 🎆celebrating and drinking endless wine. Maurice had more surprises for Cheryl as they got home to a fully decorated house of 'SHE SAID YES', 🍾champagne, 🎈balloons, favors🥳 and more friends and family! The Best 4th of July EVER!!! P.S. Y’all know Maurice popped fire works all night! 🎆🎇😂😂
