We met at Second City when our respective classes were completing their Conservatory Program Graduation Shows. In Maura's show, she sang a (very on brand) song about the bees dying in droves in the style of Liza at the Palace and Tim did a very impressive astronaut sketch involving some audience participation. Then, at the opening night party, after several Blue Moons at Corcoran's across the street from Second City, we both were BUZZING to get to know each other. And the rest, as they say was history!

Tim had to be pretty sneaky when proposing! We had a 2020-style date night, complete with takeout Indian food, and dancing to records in our living room. When Maura came back from the restroom, Tim had the box on the table, and Maura didn't even let him ask the question before she screamed "YES!" The ring is pretty special to us, not only is it absolutely beautiful, but the company that Tim got it from, Do Amore, takes a portion of every ring and uses it to provide fresh water well in the developing world. We are able to use our serial number to find our well in a small town in India.
