Harwich is home to some pretty wonderful town beaches, and if it's not snowing or freezing, they are worth a visit! Pleasant Road Beach, Red River Beach, Earle Road Beach, and Long Pond are beaches that allow daily passes to be purchased at the gate, and with this being the "off season" it may not matter! The Cape Cod Rail Trail Harwich has several entrances to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. A great place to start is at Headwaters Drive in Harwich, which can be found by typing in Rail Trail Parking Headwaters Drive into Google Maps.
Harwich Port has a cute little Main Street to check out: Below The Brine Bookshop, Murphy’s General Store, Say It Sweetly, Buoys On Main, Solis, and Dune Boutique are all cute spots to check out! For restaurants: Mad Minnow, 3 Monkeys, and Wequassett Resort & Golf Club are good spots!
Be sure to check out their farm store. They make some really nice skincare products (their lavender hand cream is one of their best-sellers).
Harwich is home to the awesome Cape Cod Beach Chair Company, and they have moved into a retail space in a 150 year old barn that is worth checking out!
