FAQs

Question

Am I allowed a guest?

Answer

Most likely. All married couples/partners have been included. However, our venue has a firm limit on party size. Your invitation will show if guest/plus one seating is available.

Question

Are my kids invited?

Answer

Absolutely, but if you want a parents-night-out that's totally fine too! Just be sure to include total headcount in your RSVP and note the ages of the children who will be attending.

Question

How should we dress?

Answer

Please dress in semi-formal, modest church appropriate attire. Our wedding is a religious sacrament, and we would like to be respectful of the Catholic church where the ceremony will be held.

Question

Are there colors that guests should avoid wearing?

Answer

We kindly ask that you avoid colors that are traditionally reserved for the bride such as whites, ivories and creams.

Question

Where shoud we park?

Answer

There is limited street parking at the church, but there is a parking area behind the church office. There will be plenty of parking at the reception venue.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Typically this time of year in the Brawley area the highs hover in the 90's, with lows in the 60's. Both the ceremony and reception will be indoors, however the reception will have an outdoor patio area.

Question

Can I take pictures at the wedding ceremony?

Answer

We have hired a photographer for our big day. No photos are allowed during the actual religious sacrament, and the center aisle of the church is to be clear at all times. Basically, the photographer takes the photos in the church, not you. However! At the reception feel free to take as many photos as you'd like! We've teamed up with GUESTPIX so that you can upload all the photos you take so we can all share in the memories! https://my.guestpix.com/Guest/Access/39724/cwR5hvvc

Question

Will there be a bar?

Answer

There will be a bar within the reception venue for a cocktail hour and at the reception. We hope that all of our guests enjoy themselves and get loosened up for the dance floor, so the first few drinks are on us! Tipping the bartender is encouraged and much appreciated. Once the bar cap has been met, guests will be responsible for their own drinks. Plan to bring an ID and form of payment if you require more liquid entertainment than we provide.

Question

What time does the wedding end?

Answer

The reception will be ending at 10:00 PM.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

For our out of town guests, we have reserved a block of rooms at 2 locations in Brawley. However, there are a number of motels/hotels within a 30 minute drive.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

We are so excited to have you all join us for our wedding. Your attendance is all we really want. We do have a registry, and gifts are appreciated but not necessary.
