Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our reception calls for Formal Attire (a middle ground between cocktail and black tie). Still unsure? This link should be helpful: https://www.theknot.com/content/formal-wedding-attire Our ceremony will take place at a Catholic Church, but it is completely fine to wear your reception outfit to the church! There are no restrictions in place (ex. shoulder coverings).

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Ceremony: Our guests should arrive no later than 1:15pm to the chapel. Please allow time for parking (see next question for specific parking instructions). Reception: Cocktail hour begins at 5:30pm. Shuttle service from the Hilton Garden Inn will begin at 4pm.

Question

Where can I park on campus?

Answer

Please plan to arrive on campus by 1pm to give yourself time to park. Free parking is available for guests on campus, across the street from the St. Thomas of Villanova Chapel in the L2 and L3 parking lots (both are labeled with signs). You will turn onto St. Thomas Way at the traffic light to reach these lots. The L3 lot is to the left, and the L2 lot is to the right. You do not need any special permits or tickets to park in these lots on Saturdays. Both of these are outdoor, uncovered lots across the street from the chapel. A campus parking map can be found here: https://www.stthomasofvillanova.org/uploads/1/3/8/7/13874367/map_of_villanova_university_parking.pdf There is a large staircase and an outdoor elevator you can take up to enter the chapel bridge walkway. For those in need of handicap parking: You will need to turn onto campus at the N Spring Mill Road entrance. The lots on the parking map above are noted as S-1 and S-2. A campus parking guard will greet you and direct you to park next to the church. If needed, overflow parking is available in the large parking garage across the street from the Villanova sign. The garage is open to visitors, but does charge a small fee (cash or card).

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

For the ceremony: No transportation will be provided for guests to or from the Villanova chapel. Parking is available at the chapel. For the reception: A complimentary shuttle through Kevin Smith Transportation Group will be available to our guests at the Hilton Garden Inn, both to and from the reception starting at 4pm. Guests staying at the Hampton Inn will have access to this shuttle as well. The Phoenixville Foundry has a large parking lot with a parking attendant, where guests may park for free.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We respectfully ask that you do NOT take pictures during our ceremony. We are all glued to our phones and want to capture the perfect moments, but please leave the photography in the church to the very talented professionals we have hired!

Question

What can I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Please take a look at our "Things to Do" page for recommendations! Guests are welcome to check into their hotels or head over to downtown Phoenixville before the party starts.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a room block at the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel Valley Forge/Oaks and the Hampton Inn & Suites, conveniently located ~10 minutes from the Phoenixville Foundry. We highly recommend you stay at one of these hotels using our code (see Travel tab). This is also where our shuttle service will be and our after party/late night food will be served.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? How can I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP on our website no later than Sunday, March 3rd. After this date, our RSVP will close. There is an RSVP tab above where you will respond, as well as pick a meal option.

Answer
