Renting a Car

If you are planning on flying, it is highly recommended that you rent a car for the weekend. If you are travelling alone or with just one other person and are interested in splitting a rental car with other guests, we have created a Google Spreadsheet to help you find one another. However, it's up to you to figure it out amongst yourselves! Click on the "View" button below to access the spreadsheet. If you plan to stay on the island in Ocean Isle Beach, you could hire a car service to take you to and from the airport, as all of the weekend's events take place within a 1.5 mile radius. Just be aware, though, that there is very little Uber or Lyft service in the area.

The Islander Inn

THE ISLANDER INN IS CURRENTLY SOLD OUT!!! For the time being, please choose another option. Should any rooms open up, this message here will be changed to reflect that. The official on-island hotel for the wedding weekend, where Matthew and Andrew will be staying! Call 910-575-7000 and ask for "Andrew and Matthew's Wedding". You can get the following rates: -Room with Ocean View (either 1 King or 2 Queens): $251.10 per night plus 12.75% tax -Room with view of the Intracostal Waterway (either 1 King or 2 Queens): $233.10 per night plus 12.75% tax You must book at least Friday July 19th and Saturday July 20th. You may also book Thursday July 18th and/or Sunday July 21st (for a reduced rate of $233.10 for an Ocean View room or $215.10 for an Intracoastal Waterway view). IMPORTANT: Please note that check in is at 4:00 PM, so if you are planning to check in on Friday, you should plan to do so after the wedding ceremony. There will be about 45 minutes between the ceremony and reception and the church is only 0.3 miles from this hotel, so you will be able to check in before the reception. Just plan to travel in your wedding clothes!

This hotel is located right next door to the Islander Inn on Ocean Isle Beach. They don't do group rates in the summer. However, we wanted to make you aware of it nonetheless since the Islander is sold out for those of you still want to stay in the middle of all the action. Prices for Friday and Saturday night are $370.95 per night (including tax) for an ocean view room, or $359.67 per night (including tax) for an Intracoastal Waterway view room. Another less expensive option that's just 15 minutes away from Ocean Isle Beach, and likely the cheapest of the options in the Shallotte area. Another option that's 15 minutes away from Ocean Isle Beach, though we'd only recommend booking this one if the Islander Inn is sold out, as the rates are similar (around $250 per night). Call 910-754-3044 or find them on hotels.com or bestwestern.com.
