FAQs

Have questions? We’ve got answers! Please read through this FAQ section. It’s packed with all the essential details you’ll need for our wedding weekend in Sayulita. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Question

What Do I Wear To The Welcome Party?

Answer

The Welcome Party is all about relaxed elegance! Think beach casual but elevated—something comfortable yet stylish for a tropical evening. Colorful sundresses & maxi skirts are perfect. Ladies, feel free to skip the heels (cobblestone streets and grassy lawn on the beach vibes). If you do opt for heels, we'd recommend wearing block heels or wedges - leave the stilettos at home! Gentlemen, shorts or lightweight pants with a button-down work great.

Question

What Do I Wear To The Wedding?

Answer

We’re so excited for you to join us for our special day! The dress code for the wedding is Beach Semi-Formal/Cocktail Attire, perfect for a stylish yet relaxed celebration. To help you plan your outfit, we’ve found a helpful guide from Nordstrom on dressing for a beach wedding: Beach Wedding Attire - https://www.nordstrom.com/browse/content/blog/beach-wedding-attire A few tips to keep in mind: Footwear: We highly recommend flats, block heels, or wedges to avoid sinking into the grass at the venue. Stilettos and pointy heels are discouraged—they’re no match for the natural terrain! Style: Think light, breezy, and elegant. Dresses, jumpsuits, and lightweight suits are all great options. For gentlemen, linen or cotton shirts with slacks are perfect for keeping cool and looking sharp.

Question

After Party Fun

Answer

The celebration doesn’t end after the wedding! We’ll be heading into town to keep the party going for those who want to join. Feel free to change into something more casual before heading out. We may end up on the beach so dress accordingly. Transportation will be provided from the wedding reception back to your accommodations, so you can freshen up and get ready for a fun night in Sayulita!

Question

Are Children Invited?

Answer

Your children are precious to us, truly! Yet, due to constraints such as space limitations and the nature of our venue, we've chosen to make our wedding and reception an adult-only celebration. We suggest embracing this opportunity for a lovely "date night" for yourselves!

Question

Do I Need Transportation To The Venue?

Answer

We’re pleased to provide transportation to and from the wedding venue for all guests! Shuttles will pick you up directly from your accommodations and return you after the celebration. UPDATE: Please be ready and outside your accommodations at 4:20PM on Saturday January 11th. You will be driven to the ceremony at Don Pedro's Palapa. Please try to not miss your pickup at this time as there will not be another car for that location.

Question

Is Sayulita Safe?

Answer

Sayulita is renowned for being among the safest tourist spots in Mexico. We encourage you to look up more information online to see for yourself. Both we and numerous friends and family members have spent many nights in Sayulita, and we can personally attest to its safety and warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Question

Is Everyone Invited To The Rehearsal Dinner?

Answer

It's our pleasure to host all of our guests for a beautiful evening on the beach. We look forward to sharing this special time with each and every one of you.

Question

Do I Need A Golf Cart?

Answer

Golf carts aren't necessary for getting around, but they're a fantastic option if you're looking to easily navigate the town's hills. Plus, they're quite enjoyable to ride! We suggest using Ocean Golf Carts, conveniently located right in town. They offer free delivery and pickup, and their carts are new, clean, and reliable.

Question

Payments Around Town

Answer

Sayulita is a charming surf village, and while many businesses accept credit cards, it’s always a good idea to carry some cash (preferably in pesos) for smaller shops, markets, and tips. Here are a few tips to help you navigate payments during your stay: ATMs: ATMs are available in Sayulita, but they may have withdrawal limits and occasional outages. Bringing extra U.S. cash as a backup is a good idea. There are a number of ATMs in the Puerto Vallarta airport that are a good place to pull out pesos before you leave for Sayulita. Credit Cards: Many restaurants and larger shops accept credit cards, but always double-check before ordering or purchasing. Tipping: Tips are generally expected for good service (15-20%), and cash is often preferred, even at places that accept cards. Street Vendors: If you plan to shop from local vendors or grab a quick snack, cash is essential.

Question

The Friendly Street Dogs of Sayulita

Answer

Sayulita is home to many friendly street dogs that are part of the town’s unique charm. These pups are well-loved by the locals and are generally social, laid-back, and used to visitors. They may stroll around looking for a pat or just lounging in the shade. Feel free to give them a friendly hello or a gentle scratch if they approach you—they’re a delightful part of the Sayulita experience!
