Yes, and actually we're so glad you asked, because we're STRONGLY REQUESTING that people use our private bus service to get to the ceremony because there are no Ubers and Lyfts in the Santa Ynez Valley. Plus, the roads are windy and we want everyone to be able to let loose and have fun. The buses will be running before, during, and after the ceremony and reception to make sure that everyone gets there safely and in the right mood to celebrate. The designated pick-up points are: The Landsby Hotel in Solvang, and the Marriott Hotel in Buellton. The bus schedule is as follows: Solvang at the Landsby Hotel (1576 Mission Dr) First Bus @ 3:00pm Second Bus @ 3:20pm Buellton at the Marriott Hotel (555 McMurray Rd) Only Bus @ 3:45pm
The Santa Ynez Valley is made up of four towns: Buellton, Solvang, Los Olivos, and Santa Ynez. It's 2 hours from Los Angeles, and 45 minutes from Santa Barbara. From anywhere in the valley, the wedding venue is about 15-20 minutes away, but Buellton is the closest location. As mentioned above, we'll have buses running throughout the day with drop-off points in Solvang and Buellton to make sure people can get to and from the venue easily.
We're calling it "formal ranch wedding" attire. Suits and cocktail dresses encouraged. No ties necessary. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose--as long as you don't rock sneakers.
May is usually dry, with bright, sunny days and cool nights. It's normal for temperatures to vary up to 30 degrees between sunrise and nightfall, so bring clothing that's appropriate for temperatures up to the mid 70s during the day, and the 50s at night.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! Please make arrangements for the little ones so you can enjoy it.
