August 21, 2018 at 9:46pm I got a Facebook message from a guy named Matt who I had talked to a couple times over the year but it hadn't amounted to much. I was in a transition phase moving from Atlanta back home to Minnesota, looking into grad schools and jobs both in Minnesota and in Tennessee. Matt suggested a school in New Orleans that I had actually just heard of the week before from a former boss. I felt like it wasn't a coincidence and I asked a few questions about the school and New Orleans in general since I had never been there. We kept talking about the school which flowed into talking about our hopes and dreams, job and life aspirations, family, faith, church, and much more. Before long I realized I woke up every morning *really* looking forward to a message from Matt and going to bed wasn't complete without a good half hour to hour conversation with Matt. Facebook messaging turned to texts which turned to Voxer and FaceTime which turned into a visit in September of 2018. On September 28, three days after I had gotten to New Orleans (I had toured the school and met a few people by then as well!) Matt officially asked me to be his girlfriend. Matt visited Minnesota in October and met my family and friends. I moved to New Orleans in November and met his family and on March 4th, 2019 through tears and a smile I said "yes" to a question I've dreamed my whole life of answering and I'm so very glad it was Matt who asked it. I'm beyond excited to marry Matt this fall and I love how our story unfolded. God is SO faithful! - Talitha
