Question

What's the elevation for the ceremony + reception?

Answer

North Star Gatherings sits right at 9,000 ft (2743m). We highly recommend hydrating well for guests not used to this kind of altitude. Denver, itself, sits at 5,279 ft, so we really encourage out-of-towners to take their time acclimating to the altitude!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

Question

Will the ceremony + reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, the ceremony will be outdoors on a deck and the reception will be inside with the ability to go back out to the deck as much as you please.

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

The couple will be taking photos while the guests enjoy cocktail hour on a covered deck. Matt and Naomi will join shortly after.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

Yes! We have two options: Marriott Denver West or Fairfield Inn & Suites. See the Travel tab for more information!

Question

When is the RSVP deadline? How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by June 15th. The earlier the better so we can plan our events accordingly. You can RSVP on our website on the RSVP page.

Question

I'm from out of town. Do I need a car?

Answer

The shuttle to the venue will be accessible from both hotel blocks. And both welcome drinks and Sunday brunch will be at the Marriott Denver West. It's up to you if you want to rent a car or take public transit/uber to explore the area.

Question

I want to find my own accommodations. Where should I look?

Answer

We've provided some suggestions on neighborhoods on our Travel page!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

Yes, we would love to have your children at our wedding! Please note that they are not allowed to wander the property and must stay on the deck at all times.

Question

Do I have to take the shuttle?

Answer

No, but it's highly recommended. If you're driving, please take directions from the Evergreen route to avoid very windy roads from Idaho Springs. Please do not plan on using Uber or any ride sharing app. Getting there might be okay, but the chances of getting a ride home are slim as the venue is pretty remote.
