We met in October of 2015, and though the Hinge dating app facilitated our initial connection, we believe that fate is what really brought us together. Our relationship began in Evanston, IL where Matt was working at the time and Caroline was in grad school - just a block away. Fast forward five and a half years, another graduate degree (along with a stint of long distance) and many travels later, and we're still together - only now our little family includes two fantastic cats, Iris and Theo. Matt wanted to propose on a trip to visit family in the Carolinas in early 2020, but the pandemic foiled his plans. Instead, uncertain what the rest of the year would hold, Matt pulled off a complete surprise and proposed in our kitchen over homemade pizza, capturing the entire moment on his iPad. After five and a half years in Chicago together, we recently moved to Charlotte, NC to put down roots closer to our families. We can't wait to celebrate our upcoming wedding and marriage with you!
