Things To Do

We're excited to share some of our favorite things to do and places to eat and drink in Chicago!

Wendella Chicago Architecture Tour

400 N Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL 60611
, (312) 337-1446

An architecture tour on the Chicago River is a must-do activity in Chicago, especially since it's within walking distance of our hotels. We've taken many guests from out of town on an architecture tour, and we learn something new every time. Wendella is our favorite company to tour with - even if you're not into architecture, we highly recommend this.

The Art Institute of Chicago

111 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60603
, (312) 443-3600

Our favorite museum in the city!

Lincoln Park

2001 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60614
, (312) 742-2000

Notre Dame Game Watch

Watch the Irish take on the Runnin' Rebels of UNLV! Kickoff is at 1pm on Saturday, right around the time we'll be saying our I Do's, but we promise to keep our ceremony short and sweet so you can watch the second half at any of the ND game watch bars in the city. Two of these bars are listed below, but anywhere with Peacock will do! Broken Barrel (2548 N Southport - a 10 minute walk from our ceremony location St. Alphonsus) The Kerryman (661 N Clark - a 10 minute walk from The Peninsula)

The J. Parker

1816 North Clark Street, Chicago, IL 60614
, (312) 254-4747

Rooftop bar with an amazing view of the skyline!

Restaurants

Andros Taverna (Logan Square) - Our favorite restaurant in our neighborhood! Anyone who's visited us since we moved into our new place can attest - we go here all the time and love to bring guests here for brunch or dinner. Bonus points that it takes us back to Greece! Reservations encouraged. Owen and Engine (Logan Square) - Another of our neighborhood favorites, it has excellent British pub food, one of the best burgers in Chicago, and a great beer selection. Reservations encouraged. Sapori Trattoria (Lincoln Park) - Great, low-key spot for delicious, old school Italian food. If you want to try deep dish pizza, go to Giordano's or Lou Malnati's! However, real Chicago pizza is thin crust tavern style - get it from Aurelio's, Matt's favorite! For some options closer to our hotels, we recommend Adalina or Siena Tavern (Italian), The Gage (a little bit of everything), Bavette's or Swift and Sons (our two favorite steakhouses), or Au Cheval (be prepared for a long wait.)

Logan Square Farmers Market

3025-3113 West Logan Boulevard, Chicago, IL 60647

No better way to recover from Saturday night than a stroll through one of the best farmers' markets in the city, right in our backyard! It's open until 3pm if you can squeeze it in before heading home.

For all the days along the way
