Have a picnic or take a hike, check out Zilker Park. The botanical garden is beautiful, and there are miles of walking trails that connect to the gravel hike + bike trail around Town Lake, as well as kayaks or stand up paddle boards rentals.
There are so many ways to enjoy Town Lake. You can rent a paddle board or kayak, our favorite is Austin Rowing Club. If getting on the water is not in the cards, take a walk along the Ann and Roy Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail and Boardwalk. There are entry points around the river, but we recommend using the one on the south side of the 1st St bridge.
