Matt and Lizzy first met on a softball field at Robb Field in Ocean Beach. Lizzy was impressed with Matt's athletic abilities and quickly tried to start conversations in between at bats. Matt, always a baseball player, was more focused on the games and hitting home runs. After a few weeks, they met up at Thorn Street Brewery for their first date. Matt was interested after a few great beers and even better conversation. Lizzy was intrigued that the quiet guy on the bench had so many hilarious stories. Next was Bolt Brewery, and then a third date at Iron Pig Ale House. Quickly into their relationship Lizzy and Matt realized they had many things in common, and the parts that were different complemented each other. On a brisk day in April while enjoying the San Diego Zoo, Matt and Lizzy decided to make their relationship official. Too many comments and likes later, they began the journey of becoming an "us". Throughout their relationship there was more softball, adventures, dates, sporting events, and, of course, breweries. They can not wait to celebrate with everyone in yet another fantastic brewery.

On a trip to Colorado, Matt had more things planned than Lizzy knew. Their second day in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, Matt convinced Lizzy to take a quick day trip to Durango. Lizzy wasn't feeling well, and just wanted to relax. After a quick trip, they headed back to Aunt Stacey's ranch. Lizzy wanted to rest, and Matt insisted they take a picture at sunset. Standing in 18 degree weather, snow softly frosted all around them, and the sun setting against the Rockies in the background, Matt dropped down onto the snow to ask Lizzy to be his partner forever! Lizzy, of course, said Yes!
