We have decided on forever!

We met briefly in the summer of 2020 during COVID. Our lives crossed again the next summer and it took very little time for us to realize that what we had was exceptional and far greater than any love we had ever experienced.

We dated for two years, growing to know each other deeper and taking small steps toward our future. We loved camping and spending a lot of time with family and friends at the Oregon Dunes. Over the years this had become one of our favorite places to spend long weekends or vacation time in North Bend. While we camp we spend most of the time riding the dunes in our SXS, as this is what Drake grew up doing with family for holidays or vacations. For Drake, that was where he wanted to ask Marzi to spend the rest of his life with him. March 2023, Marzi's Dad, and Step Mom, Drake's Dad, and Mom, and Marzi's best friend Bonnie came up to the coast for the week. The weather was raining most of the week and it took awhile for the weather to pass, but once we had a clear afternoon Drake took Marzi up to the historical North Bend Bridge viewpoint and got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. It was an instant "YES!!" Followed by moments of embrace and laughter. We shared the great news with family and friends and then took everyone out to dinner, opened a bottle of champagne and celebrated by the campfire sharing stories of our past and stories of our anticipated future.

Drake and Marzi welcomed a healthy baby Brooks 5 weeks early. He was 6 lbs 8 oz and 19.5” long. He is the most precious addition to the family and will be the cutest ring bearer.

We applied for a marriage certificate a year prior to our wedding ceremony. We legally wed at a small courthouse in Southern Oregon on Thursday, September 28th, 2023. We cannot wait to have the wedding ceremony and reception of our dreams with you this year!
