We have a block of rooms at the Homewood Suites and Courtyard Marriott, both on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie. More information can be found under our Travel tab. We also included a link to other hotels in the area that you may choose to stay at.

Question

How do I select my dinner?

Answer

Once you are seated during the reception, you will find a menu and will be able to place your order with your table's server. We will have a beef, poultry, fish, and vegetarian option for the main course. Please let us know when you RSVP if you have any dietary restrictions.

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking at the Grandview. If necessary, you can leave your car there overnight and collect it the next morning.

Question

What should I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

If you have not checked into your hotel, this would be a great time to do so. Maybe take a quick rest before we dance away the rest of the evening. If you would like to explore Poughkeepsie, we've included some of our favorite places under the To-Do tab. Shadows on the Hudson is a great option for a drink before as it neighbors our reception venue.

Question

Is there an open bar at the reception?

Answer

Yes, see you there! Cocktails with top-shelf liquor, beer, and wine will be available. Try our signature cocktail- a Moscow Mule!

Question

What time is dinner served?

Answer

Dinner will be served around 8:30. But don't worry! There is plenty of food to be had during the cocktail hour

Question

How can I get to the reception without driving?

Answer

If you do not wish to drive, you may take an Uber or Lyft. You can also use one of the local cab companies: Executive Ride: 845-204-7148 Two Sup Taxi: 845-418-0998 Right on Time Taxi: 945-594-1131 A team Taxi and Livery Cab Service: 845-625-6382

Question

Why are the lights on the Mid-Hudson Bridge green?

Answer

So glad you asked! As it turns out, anyone can call the Dept. of Transportation and choose what color the bridge lights will be on a given day. We selected green to not only match our theme but also to honor our alma mater, Binghamton University, the place where our story began.
