“We’re getting married!”

It all began with a ball, a baseball that is, and a shared love of the game. Christian and Mary-Briana met at the Basic Officer Leaders Course/ Army Logistics University at Fort Lee (then)/Fort Greg-Adams (present). Eager to perfect their craft as logisticians, little did they know the next 14 weeks would solidify their love story. Mary can clearly remember her first encounter with Christian on their first day of class. As each student went around the room sharing their background, Mary excitedly shared her love for the Los Angeles Dodgers. To Christian’s delight, he gleefully shouted from behind “Go Braves!” Mary turned around and sheepishly smiled thinking to herself, she may have just met “the one” and of course someone to watch the 2022 MLB playoffs with. From then on, they spent many an afternoon studying for exams, watching a combination of baseball and their beloved Star Wars (specifically The Clone Wars series). In the midst of the stress of an Army school house, the two of them found solace in their deep conversations about God. Mary admired Christian’s steadfast faith and commitment to exemplifying a personal relationship with God. It was that commitment to serving our Lord, that has led the two of them to where they are today. From Washington, D.C. to Korea, to spending a world away from each other for a year, their love and devotion to each other and God has exemplified the very best in a love story.
