Maid of Honor
Title: Sister and the Yin to my Yang Met: January 1994 Favorite Memory: I spent the 2016 New Years in NYC with Kati where we woke up early on January 1st to run into the freezing cold water at Coney Island for the yearly Polar Plunge. It took hours to get any feeling back in our hands and feet so we certainly had some regrets about participating, but doing it together is what made it well worth it!

Title: Lifelong Best Friend Met: August 2003 Favorite Memory: Sarah has been my best friend for over 15 years so we have our fair share of memories together, but my favorite still remains the last night we spent together before Sarah moved back to Texas in 2006. We spent that night with a boom-box out on her front lawn, dancing in the dark, and then collapsing on the grass where we stared up at the stars and told each other that those stars would always be the same no matter where either of us lived.

Title: Photography Wizard Met: August 2015 Favorite Memory: Callie and I (ironically) met when I was dating another guy who was in her group of friends. Although that relationship did not work out, Callie and mine did! My favorite memory of her was driving in the car and listening to her pump up our other friend Paige by listing out all her good qualities and why she should never question her worth. It was in that moment that I realized Callie is not just another nice person. She is the NICEST person I have ever met and I'm so lucky that I get to call her my friend!

Title: Sister-in-Law and Lizard Laugher Met: February 2016 Favorite Memory: A few years ago, I showed up at Tabbie's work to visit her. I spent the day horrified at the behavior of some of her students and wondered how she handled it with such a positive attitude. Then, at the end of the day, I watched Tabbie hug each of her students and tell them she loved them before they left to go home. When I asked why she did that she responded, "That might be the only 'I love you' they hear all day."

Title: Future Sister-in-Law and Social Media Detective Met: February 2017 Favorite Memory: Drew and I had only been texting for a few weeks when I received a follow request from his sister on Instagram. I remember feeling so flattered that he had already told his family about me! Turns out, Cailyn had been creeping on his text messages and saw my name pop up so, as all good younger sisters should do, she took it upon herself to find out more about this "Brianne Kane" girl. I would have totally done the exact same thing, but the only difference is that my brother would have killed me for it whereas Drew just told me, "That's Cailyn. Get used to it."

Title: Fellow Cat Lady Met: February 2017 Favorite Memory: Josie and I met during a pre-admissions visit to Northeastern University. We spent the duration of the trip together since we had been assigned as roommates and also discovered we were essentially the exact same person. On the last day, we were both notified that we were accepted into the program. We ran to the bookstore and spontaneously bought Northeastern sweatshirts together because the thought of going elsewhere seemed unlikely after how close we'd gotten during those last three days (and because we really liked the program too, duh!).

Title: Food Buddy Met: October 2017 Favorite Memory: Recently, Jill told me she needed to get rid of a couch in her apartment but had no one to take it. To this I responded, "Why don't we just take it out ourselves and put it in the dumpster?" A few hours and a few drinks later, we moved that couch down two flights of stairs, across the apartment complex, and into the tiny dumpster where it protruded out so badly we had to make sure no one saw it was us who put it in there. It was one of the silliest ideas we have recently had since we certainly woke up all the neighbors as the couch thudded against the walls and as we both cried out several times "WHY DID WE DO THIS?" during the ordeal.

Titles: Daddio and Mama Met: January 1994 Favorite Memory with Dad: I have so many wonderful memories with my father (ex. fishing trips, baseball games). However, my favorite is pretty easy to pick! When I was 4 years old, my mom saved up money to buy my dad his dream bicycle. Instead of buying it, my dad spent the money on sending me to preschool since I wouldn't have been able to go otherwise. Favorite Memory with Mom: My mom is my best friend so it's a bit trickier to pick just one memory with her, but if I have to then it would be in 1999 when she took me to a local animal hospital and got me my first pet: a kitten. At that time, I don't think anyone could have predicted how that cat would influence my entire life and make me the crazy cat lady I am today!

Title: Brother and Pokemon Legend Met: June 1995 Favorite Memory: My brother has taught me many lessons over the years, but my favorite by far is this: you can actually be laughing while being chased with a knife - you just have to be the faster one. This memory could have ended much differently if he caught me that day, but in all honesty, it was my fault for hogging the Xbox.

Title: Cousin, Tinder Guru & Google Fanatic Met: February 1995 Favorite Memory: Some of my most laughable memories with J.R. have included one of us escaping death and/or making a complete idiot mistake. One of my favorites consists of us building a deer stand from scratch. During the ordeal, I took a 2x4 to the face, J.R.'s dad nearly took the whole thing apart while trying to stand it up, and then - after all this - we realized we had constructed it under one of the most powerful power lines in CT! This meant we had to MacGyver a way to move it elsewhere with a tractor and a hand truck. Despite all the work, to date, neither of us has even taken a deer from the stand.

Title: Potential Future Accomplice Met: Fall of 2006 Favorite Memory: Jeez, where to begin. I guess I'll go with one that won't incriminate us. Back in the day we held our own on the airsoft field. We once flash-banged a kid so bad that when we got into the room, he was curled up on the floor and nearing tears. In another life we would be shoulder to shoulder clearing rooms, just not with airsoft guns.

Title: Lifelong Friend and Anime Adviser Met: Fall of 2006 Favorite Memory: Cody is one of those friends where you can not speak to each other for months, but when you do see them or talk with them, it's like there was never a gap. It just works. The best memory is fortunately a reoccurring one. One of us makes the trip to the other's house and alcohol, fast food, video games and anime ensues.

Title: Brother in Arms Met: September 2012 Favorite Memory: John and I met at UConn's Army ROTC program, but it didn't click until one day after PT (physical training). We walked outside, I looked at his car and he looked at mine. It was history after that. To this day, we connect through our passion for cars.

Title: Cadet and Future Brother-in-Law Met: February 2017 Favorite Memory: When I asked Liam to be one of my groomsmen, I gave him an Army Ammo can with his name engraved on it. We were at a West Point football game at the time so, worrying that West Point would think he somehow stole it, Liam grabbed one of his mom's flower decorated bags to conceal it as he snuck it into his room. That's the kind of quick thinking the Army needs. Great job Cadet.

Title: Corgi Enthusiast and Future Brother-in-Law Met: May 2017 Favorite Memory: I cannot believe it took me nearly twenty-six years to shoot clays for the first time, but I have Conor to thank for introducing me to the sport. On the day of his wedding, he took a bunch of us to try out one of his favorite hobbies and, since that day, I've been hooked. To Brianne's dismay, this has resulted in the addition of yet another gun to my collection.

Titles: Padre and Madre Met: February 1993 Favorite memory with Dad: Every time I gave my dad grief about changing car breaks he'd say "one day you're going to look back and wish we could've changed more breaks together." Turns out he was right. Changing breaks with dad did become one of my favorite memories with him. I also enjoyed when he finally caved and told us kids what a terror he was as a child! Favorite memory with Mom: We used to drive my mom mad by not doing our chores. Now, 26 years later, I am the spitting image of my mother and drive Brianne mad when I remind her to do hers! My fondest memory of my Mom is a collective memory that embodies her huge heart and endless second chances. She will tell you that it's her biggest flaw, but I know it as our family's greatest strength.
