One of our favorite weekend activities is to visit the local breweries all over Charleston. Some of our favorites located downtown include: Revelry Brewing - https://revelrybrewingco.com/ Edmund's Oast Brewing Co - http://edmundsoast.com/brewing-co/ Munkle Brewing Co - https://www.munklebrewing.com/ Palmetto Brewing Co - https://palmettobrewery.com/
Leon's is one of our favorite places to go downtown! Rachel's favorite is the Fried Chicken Sandwich and Michael loves the Crispy Catfish. Be sure to get some Oysters and Hush-puppies too!
The Ordinary is a Southern seafood hall and oyster bar located in an old bank in Charleston, SC. Our menu celebrates the “merroir” of the Coastal Carolinas and the East Coast, and we strive to support local and regional fishermen, crabbers, oystermen, farmers and producers.
We love to grab drinks at the bar at Felix before heading next door to the Ordinary for a nice meal out!
Home Team is one of our favorite spots for BBQ. Be sure to try a Game Changer while you're there!
One of our favorite breakfast/brunch spots downtown.
The Daily is a neighborhood marketplace with top-notch coffee, breakfast, juice, smoothies, pastries, breads, wine, beer and grab-and-go provisions.
Anytime we are out on Sullivan's Island we love to grab a burger and beer at Poe's!
A great breakfast spot if you are out on Folly Beach!
Another great option for lunch or dinner. The Tavern Burger is Rachel's favorite!
There's usually a line for this place on weekend mornings, but it is definitely worth the wait! Grab your food to go and walk down to Marion Square and enjoy it in the park.
If you're looking for something a little bit more on the healthier side, Basic Kitchen is a great option. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and use locally sourced produce. Rachel's favorite is the buffalo cauliflower!
We love to walk through White Point Gardens and along the Battery for great views of the Charleston Harbor.
No trip to Charleston is complete without a visit to the iconic Rainbow Row! While you're there walk around the historic part of downtown on East Bay St
Shem Creek is one of our favorite areas to visit in Mount Pleasant. There are a bunch of restaurants and bars and you never know when a dolphin or two might make an appearance!
