We're getting married!

Vinnie and Martha's love story began in 2015 at the Dugout, formerly known as Burke's Irish Castle, where Martha worked. Introduced by friends, their initial encounter blossomed into a deep friendship over the next few years. Vinnie would often visit the bar to engage Martha in conversation during her shifts. By 2018, their relationship had evolved beyond friendship. Martha, a single mother, and her daughter Elise found comfort and joy in Vinnie's presence, embracing the newfound family unit they had formed. A year later, they took the next step and moved into a duplex together, solidifying their commitment to each other and their growing family. From chance encounters at a local bar to building a loving home together, Vinnie and Martha's journey is a testament to the transformative power of friendship, love, and the blending of families. Their wedding celebrates not only their love for each other but also the beautiful bonds they've forged along the way.

Vinnie knew in the early days of their relationship he had the desire to propose to Martha, but it wasn't until August 18th, 2022, that he finally took the plunge. Planning meticulously for several months, Vinnie enlisted the help of Martha's sisters, Hannah and Abi, to orchestrate a truly unforgettable proposal, shrouded in secrecy. On a radiant August day, Vinnie suggested a leisurely drive with Martha, who believed they were headed to a family dinner. Little did she know, Vinnie had arranged a picturesque surprise by a tranquil creek in Hart Park, Wauwatosa, WI. With a meticulously arranged picnic, complete with champagne and a touch of romance, Vinnie set the stage for his grand gesture. However, Vinnie's proposal wasn't just a declaration of love for Martha; it was also a heartfelt commitment to her daughter, Elise, whom he had embraced as his own. As they arrived at the park, Vinnie ensured Martha was blindfolded to maintain the element of surprise. Leading her gently to the prepared picnic area, he then removed the blindfold to reveal himself on bended knee, professing his love and asking for her hand in marriage. But the surprises didn't end there. With Martha's sister, Abi, orchestrating from the sidelines, Elise was invited forward for her own special moment. With Vinnie kneeling once more, he presented Elise with a beautiful diamond ring, symbolizing their journey as a family and asking her to make it official. After the initial excitement and joy of the dual proposals, Vinnie & his girls drove off to J&Bs, where a surprise gathering of friends and family awaited. Amidst toasts and celebrations, the trio basked in the glow of their new engagement, surrounded by the love and support of their nearest and dearest.
