Located in the Palos Verdes Hills, the South Coast Botanic Garden extends over 87 acres of land and is home to over 150,000 plants and trees. Some of the highlights include a Japanese Garden and Koi Pond, a Mediterranean Garden, a Rose Garden, a display greenhouse, a children’s discovery garden, and the Banyan Grove - a spectacular tangle of Moreton Bay Fig trees.
Bluff Cove is a great location for viewing the sunset or sunrise and is only a short hike of 0.5 miles (perfect for everyone) out to the bluff and back. We also recommend checking out Flat Rock Point, which is quite a scenic location at sunset.
Sandbar is a neighborhood bar in Manhattan Beach that pairs modern tiki vibes with a beach town feel. They serve craft cocktails and a full lunch and dinner menu! This is also one of our favorite bars to stop into for a daytime drink.
If you are looking for sit-down restaurant, Pancho's in Manhattan Beach is an amazing option! Built by the Lawrence family in 1977, this South Bay landmark has an expansive, authentic Mexican menu including delicious hand-made margaritas.
Snoopy's Beach Cafe has been a go-to for locals since it was established in 1967. Although it originally started out as a favorite for burgers and shakes, it has now expanded into a homey cafe that includes a diverse menu. It also doesn't hurt that it is located just steps away from the beach!
