We met over the phone through Sierra - Marrica's cousin and Robert's neighborhood friend. What we thought would turn into nothing more than a few text messages over the Summer, turned into a conversation that never ended. For two months we bonded pretty quickly through phone calls and text messages without even meeting in person. In July we finally met and August 8, 2012 we made it official.

For the last 6 years of our relationship, we have been long distance with Robert joining the United States Air Force. But no matter how far he would go, nothing could keep us apart. As a rising photographer in Dallas, Marrica has been able to grow her business to allow her to travel whenever and wherever she wants. So we have been able to meet up all over the world in places such as Atlanta, GA, Charleston, SC, and our favorite, Tokyo, Japan!

On Robert's last visit home, he proposed on a surprise date night at Ocean Prime in Dallas. Right as we were ordering dessert, Marrica's friends came around the corner with cameras and Robert got down on one knee to pop the question! And, with no hesitation, she said yes!
