While out at a restaurant, Dillon gets a tap on the shoulder and is asked if he’ll share his french fries. He makes friends with a woman he has no idea will be sure a huge part of his future. Meanwhile Marisa is out to eat with a coworker after finishing doing hair and makeup for a wedding when she gets a text from the French fry fiend. She offers to set the two up. Marisa is hesitant, but agrees to let her give out her number. Within 2 minutes Dillon texts Marisa, and the two have a conversation that lasts days. After a few failed attempts to meet in person, Marisa convinces friends to accompany her to the original restaurant to meet the man she’s been talking to. Both, being terribly shy, completely ignore each other for an hour until finally growing the courage to meet face to face. Finally awkward eye contact, laughter, basic banter and people watching started, not realizing all the while it was the start of their future together. They’ve been awkwardly laughing and people watching together ever since.
Due to restrictions in November of 2020, our originally scheduled wedding could not go to plan. With impatient hearts, and the desire to keep everyone safe, we decided to have an intimate, romantic, candlelit ceremony with 35 people in Wallingford. In a near picture perfect night, we said "I do" and finally made something great out of the not so great year that 2020 was. However it was truly Aubree that stole the show as the flower girl, and Shirley temple dancing queen. When deciding what was best for the future of our wedding, we originally postponed to our one year anniversary. With current restrictions being lifted and vaccinations rolling out we feel much more comfortable having an outside, casual reception, while numbers are down and things are looking up. We understand this is sooner than expected, but again impatient hearts just can not wait to celebrate!
