Phillip was one of the first members of the Penn State Club Swim Team Lee made a connection with freshman year...and oh what a first night out they had, just ask Brian Kelly, Beth, or Denny. They may have heard the story once or twice. Since then there's been yearly Penn State tailgates, Marvel movies, CityWorks days and brewery nights throughout SouthEast PA as our crew's foot print continues to grow. From cross country road trips and all the Star Wars love, to spontaneous sporting events and the best New Year's Eves, the party will definitely continue.

Lee and Rob first met as members of the very young group of West Chester Youth Wrestling Association. Despite never attending the same school, an incredible friendship restarted in 9th grade as Lee found mutual friends upon getting to Henderson and that friendship never slowed down. Through planting and selling Christmas trees and Rob's day trips to Penn State on the slightest whim, to road trips to Oklahoma or Wisconsin and traveling to everyone else's bachelor parties, the adventures haven't stopped and hopefully won't anytime soon.

Tony and Lee were members of the fighting 137th Academy class at the Pennsylvania State Police Academy. Despite being in different platoons at the Academy, Lee and Tony were assigned to 3rd Platoon at Avondale upon graduation, becoming de facto partners on any assignments requiring members to ride two to a car (which normally only happens on midnight shifts for PSP). Tony and Lee quickly became more than just coworkers, bonding over a shared love of good times with great friends. Tony's invites to Parade Day in Scranton have given Lee a second home in NEPA amongst Tony's guys, as Tony has a guy for everything. Through Penn State games (some more memorable then others), weddings, and PSP events, despite the distance Tony has been an incredibly important part of Lee's life since joining PSP.

Patrick and Lee have no choice but to have a bond, since they are second cousins. Or first cousins twice removed? Third cousins? We all figured this out one time but who knows. As some of the cousins we each saw at the annual Campbell family Christmas parties and tried to keep track of who was who, the advent of instant messaging and social media allowed for family to turn to best friends. Patrick moving to Philadelphia to work for Comcast Sportsnet after college also helped that along. Patrick's schedule wasn't the greatest but it was conducive for a long streak of Trivia top three finishes at Doc Magrogan's in West Chester and NCAA Dynasty mode. Throw in week long road trips to Alabama, then over to Atlanta, then to Timmy's wedding in South Carolina and later trips to Atlanta, West Chester, Fripp Island, DC, and, perhaps best of all, Auburn and Penn State's home and home series that was on our calendar for almost 5 years. Still, the future looks even brighter.

Meeting at their first job, Jenna and Marlie became fast friends at the Kennett YMCA. Jenna found Marlie’s inability to mince words endearing (which many other high schoolers did not), and Marlie found Jenna’s sense of humor and compassion to be a perfect match for her personality. The two could be found any given Sunday morning, guarding the pool and enjoying their Wawa coffee and muffin breakfast. As they both headed off to college in NC it felt like they each had a piece of home just a short ride away. They made memories visiting each other’s campuses and it became obvious to Marlie that Jenna was her person. Through milestones big and small, happy or sad, they were always there for eachother. Jenna even played a role in Marlie’s relocation, bringing her to teach in the same district. They have now been best friends for more of their life then they haven’t, and Marlie couldn’t imagine it any other way.

Another classic Kennett Area YMCA meeting. Cass and Marlie met as teenage lifeguards at the Y, and became fast friends. The KAY crew quickly became Marlie’s circle of friends, and Cass was there every step of the way. From lifeguard socials, to backyard/basement adventures, to their senior week beach trip, many memories were made. Despite the several years spent with a significant distance, the two kept in touch through college, and as their adult lives began. With Marlie making it out to Colorado for a visit and Cass traveling across the country for a Myrtle Beach girls trip, the permanence of their friendship was solidified. Now that they are both back in Chester County, they have grown even closer and have been able witness the beautiful growth and success they have each achieved. Marlie simply could not be more proud of Cass and her amazing accomplishments building her own business from the ground up!

Sometimes the stars align to bring the right people into your life, and it seems that is just what happened for Marlie and Lauren. At the start of the school year when teachers were asked to put their alma maters on their doors, Marlie was shocked to find a door labeled with Susquehanna. Marlie popped in just to say “I bet no one else in the building can pronounce that!” What were the chances that Marlie would meet this Jersey girl and Susquehanna grad in Raleigh, North Carolina? Lauren and Marlie bonded instantly over their years spent in the North East, and the adjustment to life in North Carolina. They shared a passion for teaching, a love for the Eagles, and change they wanted to affect throughout their school. They also shared a love for hockey. They have shared transitions through many seasons of life in a short amount of time, but through all of this Lauren has remained such a supportive and involved member of Marlie’s inner circle. Despite the distance, Lauren always makes sure to squeeze a “Marlie visit” out of any time Marlie spends in Raleigh, and has even visited the West Chester/Philly area too.
