Wedding Update: Postponement

"As COVID does surge, our plans we must purge; With gathering restricted, celebrating too constricted; Twenty-two is the year, on Jan. one we'll all cheer! Though the date's far away, we ask- please save our day!" Love to all, and stay healthy! - The Mosers

How We Met

Paige & Jake met through a dear mutual friend and now groomsman, Timur, way back in August 2012. When Paige went to check out his new apartment, she saw Jake for the first time. Dang did he look cute! Both were too scared to ask the other out, so instead they formed a close friendship which carried them through college. When it came time for senior formal, Paige couldn’t hide her feelings anymore so she asked Jake to be her date. The rest is history! Jake always says their three year friendship is what made the next three years of long distance dating possible. With such a strong foundation, they knew they could handle whatever life threw their way. Years of plane, train, and car trips followed while Jake lived in Boone and Paige went up to D.C. Finally, they were able to make their dreams of being together for Tuesday night tacos a reality when they took the plunge and moved to St. Louis, M.O. in 2018! Paige fell in love with Jake for his dashing good looks, ice skating abilities, great sense of humor, and unwavering positive attitude. She feels so blessed to marry a man who supports her dreams and makes her laugh every day! What Jake loves best about Paige is her upbeat attitude, her selflessness and desire to help others, and her ability to force herself to laugh at all of Jake's jokes. After years of long distance, Jake couldn't be happier to finally marry the love of his life.

How He Asked

9 July 2019 in Boone, N.C.

Last July, Jake & Paige went to Boone to celebrate their four year anniversary- or so Paige thought! Little did she know, Jake had been planning the trip for months and had been working with his mom, Paige’s mom, and Paige’s grandmother to prepare the ring. He had booked a room at a new boutique hotel on King Street, made reservations at their favorite dinner spot in Blowing Rock, and coordinated with his sister, Torre, to take secret photos when he popped the question. On a misty afternoon hike up Rough Ridge Hiking Trail, Jake got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Paige was so surprised and truly overwhelmed with joy. The happy tears started flowing and, of course, she said yes! Then, Torre jumped out from behind the bushes and revealed that she had been taking photos of the whole event! It was the most perfect day Paige could have ever imagined. When they drove home from Boone the following day, Paige thought Jake had to fly back to St. Louis that evening. She had no idea there were more surprises in store! After Jake said “goodbye”, a few family members started showing up unannounced at Paige’s parents’ home. 45 minutes later, her new fiance casually walked back into the house with some of his best buddies, and the tears started all over again. Her second favorite memory to date (obviously excluding the engagement itself!), Jake and their families had planned a surprise engagement party with so many of their loved ones. Paige’s brother even flew in from D.C.! It was the perfect way to celebrate the beginning of the rest of their lives.
