Alex and Savannah had mutual friends at Florida State University. Through those friends, they ended up at the same pre-game for a sorority date function (80's themed bowling night), which happened to take place at Alex's off-campus house. Savannah (luckily) didn't bring a date that night, and Alex (unsurprisingly) had all of the pieces to throw together an 80's workout outfit - there was only one thing left to do. We bowled, we drank, we danced... and the rest is history!

Alex told Savannah that they had been invited to a seasonal menu tasting at local Atlanta restaurant "Canoe". According to him, a work client of his knew the chef but couldn't make it to the tasting, and offered up their spot. Savannah didn't question this because she was too excited for the free, delicious food. Once arrived at the restaurant, the hostess let us know that the chef wasn't quite ready to begin the tasting and that we could wait in the garden out back. We made our way out to the riverside lawn, and Alex said "You ready?".
